Janus (working title)

Authors: WedgeAntilles, Zulginthetroll (not registered)
Ages: 15, 13

Direction:
My friend and I plan to create a two-player campaign, consisting of 10 missions. 6 of the missions are divided into two sets of three missions each. One set tells the story from the view of the Protoss, while the other side tells if from the view of the Terrans. The last four missions will be co-op.
The campaign takes place about 2 years after the conclusion of the Brood Wars.

Protoss Side:
On the planet of Ceralis, a Protoss force is ambushed while making a raid on a Terran installation. Cut off, they fight for their very survival against the overwhelming human forces closing in from all sides. What they do not realize, though, is the Terrans are hiding something, something that could cost the Protoss not only their lives, but the lives of every creature in the galaxy.

Terran Side:
Meanwhile, on the remote moon of Parin, UED Garrison 47 struggles to maintain their forces in the face of their dwindling supplies and the realization that they are alone, lost, forgotten in a galactic struggle. As they go about their insignificant lives, a strange object comes falling out of the sky.

New Characters:

Durma:
Unit: Protoss Archon

Captain Lucas:
Unit: Terran Firebat
Age: 47
Lucas has a story common to many UED officers. Born on Earth and raised in an average middle-class home, he was drafted at the age of 31 into the Expeditionary Force as a marine. When the former Captain died during the Battle of Braxis, Lucas was promoted to take his place. He landed on Parin in February 2501 with his garrison in as an effort to claim the uninhabited moon for UED interests.

Why is it called Janus?

You should try to make the dialogue look more professional, instead of it just going across the whole screen.  I think the speaker's name is supposed to be 10 spaces in, and then text should be 1 space under, 15 spaces in.  Like so:

          TERRAN MARINE
You want a piece of me, boy?

We have a tutorial on this.

It will be possible to play it by yourself.

Thats what I heard every time.  Ah I miss the simplicity.

Rond:
This sentance is indeed poorly formatted, spell checked, and poorly grammared.

UPDATE (6/20/09)

I won't be able to post an update next week, so I'm doing it now.

I am concentrating on the first mission triggers. Most of the dialogue has been formatted.

If you consider the fraction of the moon's surface that the map covers, it's actually pretty small. If only StarCraft could make spherical maps...

EDIT:

My co-developer and I have determined that neither of us has sufficient time to finish this campaign within the set time frame. I am therefore withdrawing my campaign from this contest.
