The Botched Story:
I intend on producing anywhere between 5 to 7 maps related to each of the races. The Terrans will come first, covering how the Dominion regains it's position as the most powerful Terran army in the sector. It will also cover the Kel-Morian Combine and Umojan Protectorate's views on the Dominions' second rise to power. It then shifts to Jim Raynor and his buddies trying to find work when a secret benefactor requests that Jim steals some new technological plans that the Dominion has been working on. He agrees and sets out to do this.

The campaign switches to a Protoss point of view and details the adjustments that all Protoss must make on Shakuras. It also shows Protoss examining Xel'Naga artifacts and discovering new weapons for the inevitable fight with the Zerg. Later on Jim is seen landing on Shakuras and talking to Artanis. Zeratul freaks out about the Xel'Naga temple and leaves Shakuras for like 5 years or so.

Now it shows Kerrigan and what she has been up too during this time. Kerrigan is intent on keeping any invaders off of char while her Zerg broods continue to evolve. If any unlucky scout teams manage to get on Char's planet then they will be taken care of swiftly...

Flash forward a few years and Zeratul is seen searching the stars for more answers. Eventually he stumbles upon a specific Xel'Naga artifact that could spell doom for the entire galaxy...

THIS SUMMER (probably before that) COMING TO A COMPUTER NEAR YOU

What a coincidence this is that day! I've decided to start working on this campaign again. I'm going to finish all triggers/terrain/storyline before chasing voice actors and people to do iscript for me. Who wants to take bets that I can finish this beat before SC2 beta comes out?

Yep thats the loading page, thats just years of photoshop experience (although what I did you could learn pretty quick with some tutorials). For putting it in the game though you'd have to use winmpq or a similar program.

I don't think you should make Zeratul sound so happy.  I always thought of him as more of a negative character.  I don't think I've ever seen an exclamation point used when he's speaking... O_o

This looks good, but a Dark Archon hero is nothing new (sorry if I'm bursting your bubble; I believe RazorClawX did something similar).

Blizzard didn't give theirs an attack either, but they had one too. Just so the record's straight!

Actually, they had two. One of them doesn't counts as it's the Dark Archon Hero (he has this name, in fact) from Enslavers DV 4A map, and he had the ability to destroy Khaydarin Crystals (well, at least the fake ones). The other one is Ulrezaj. I don't know if he (Ulrezaj) has any known attacks, but he's formed from seven Dark Templar(instead of the two a normal Dark Archon is formed), so he must be very powerful...

Actually, Vision of the Future (yeah, chris, yeah) had a hero Dark Archon. It was placeable in the editor. He also did this with the Zeji Total Conversion, and both of them had attacks.

In VOTF, Hhallahh (the Darch Archon hero) was just the normal DA unit renamed and with new stats (so he didn't had any attacks). In the Zeji Conversion, the Dark Archon was a totally new unit, the Zeji Phoenix, with its own stats, portrait, graphics, etc... Of course, this one had an attack, but it wasn't a DA.

I've been out for about a week due to surgery but I am about ready to resume work on the contest. I hope a week off hasn't hurt me too much. Expect an update sometime this week.

Good, considering how good AoD was, I really want to play this.
I like Dark Archon heroes.
I hope you heal quickly!

Hey guys much to my dismay I must withdraw from the contest. I really planned on winning even with all the great competition out there but real life hit me pretty hard and I am recovering from two surgeries over the next 3 weeks. Maybe I'll have something to show one day but if sc2 comes out just expect me on the scene there. Good luck to everyone else in the contest and may the best man win.
