The Infestation of Durstrahn: StarCraft Campaign
I'm here to rope people into working for and/or playing my first major campaign, The Infestation of Durstrahn.
Unlike most campaigns here at our wonderful board, mine takes place in a sector other than the Koprulu Sector. What this means is that it essentially takes place in another galaxy, where there is no Dominion, no Queen of Blades, and no shallow hole of Auir. There are, however, Terrans. The supreme Terran organization that rose to power after decades of conflict is called the Congressional Ordered League, or C.O.L. for short (note that you pronounce each individual letter in this acronym rather than saying "Cole" or something of that nature).
The story revolves around a COL detachment named - very creatively, mind you - Gamma Fleet (I'm amazing, aren't I?). The XO of the COL Belmont (the fleet's Battlecruiser) is Commander James "Strung-up" Strung. More can be read on him and other characters further down.
Gamma Fleet (as told by the briefing of the first map) receives an uncoded distress signal originating from the remote ice planet of Bohr (I think I stole that name from somewhere, but I could be wrong. I honestly don't remember). Commander Strung warps the cruiser to Bohr while ordering the rest of Gamma Fleet to remain behind (bad decision). Upon arriving, another character named Jungo Simons is sent down as the commanding officer of the reconnaissance team.
No more spoilers for you!
This is before any Protoss or Zerg even make their appearance in the sector (more on that within the first map).
I have, more or less, finished the first two maps, but I'm holding out for any and all who'd be willing to volunteer for voice acting (I have a good-quality microphone... for gaming...). Anyone with a decent voice and a decent microphone for voice recording are welcome to have a go!
[Terran Characters]
[James Strung]
Age: 54
Rank: Commander
Background: Commander James "Strung-up" Strung was promoted from Major when he was 43 - a young age for commanders to be appointed. He is the commanding officer of the Belmont, and, as such, Gamma Fleet in its entirety. He has recently parked the vessel in high orbit over the snowy wasteland that is Bohr, receiving a distress signal from an unidentified Terran colony.
[Jungo Simons]
Age: 35
Rank: Lieutenant
Background: Lieutenant Jungo Simons is the current commanding officer of the small task force commander Strung sent down to Bohr's surface. He was once a Captain, but was demoted for "accidentally" crashing a superior officer's vulture into said officer. Few broken bones were had, but no one was severely harmed.

[ Any questions / comments can go here - Any volunteers for terraining and voice acting can P.M. me ]

Sounds like you're much more ahead than most other characters when they first appear on these forums to post about their project. Nice to see something unique.

Sounds unique, I'd try to rename the Gamma fleet to something more cool though. Gamma is a neat word but it doesn't sound good when paired with Fleet. I'm interested to see where this project goes (and if you actually complete it). Good luck!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's been neglected lately.

That's an image of the third level, which will be your standard "DEFEND ZEH BATTLECRUISER ZOMG" scenario with an added twist...
...but that's for later.
Happy campaigning!

Ahh! MOAR THINGS TO WORK ON!
I'll attach the first level to the OP, along with the mod, since you guys seem to <3 this so much.

Always happy to discover people haven't abandoned doing campaigns for a 10-year old game.Pronogo wrote: Ahh! MOAR THINGS TO WORK ON!

Sadly, the mod is dysfunctional, so I won't be posting it. Map's up, though!
Wow, I forgot that I already posted the first mission...
The one on the OP is the latest version of it, though. I think the earlier one had major malfunctions concerning briefing text or something.
