How did you manage to find an April Fool's joke from 10 months ago?

By the way, when you first made this thread, I thought you were talking about this game, which IS an actual game, and supposedly has extra missions featuring an Infested Alexei Stukov.

Yeah.  And at the end, he's magically cured by some special serum concocted by the protoss.

Sounds lame.  Worse still, according to Metzen, it counts as canon.

Wait- wait wait.. He's CURED? I don't recall reading that anywhere. Isn't he infected and makes an appearance in that scenario map they released where you're an espionage group?

I don't know if he's cured, but he's definitely brought back to "sanity" or whatever it is.

Braxis is also "purified" by the Protoss in the process.

Fortunately or not, it is canon. I wonder if it hints at something we might see in SC2. Metzen once said that the "Deception" scenario for BW contains several ideas that he considered, back then, to develop in SC2. 

Well Stukov is not infested anymore after being injected with what Raynor used to heal him, but he feels empty and a little bitter after being the Zerg taint was ripped out.

The Starcraft 64 game wasn't too bad although it lagged horribly if you started using Carriers which as an afterthought, would have been a nice "feature" to have in the PC version to spare us a decade of MCNT.

Wasn't there some unlicensed Starcraft shoot-em-up arcade game that used the sprites?

I know there was a series of Flash games based on Starcraft Defense UMS on Newgrounds that used the exact sprites.  There was an attempt to make a Starcraft FPS mod with brand-new 3D sprites but Vivendi's legal team shut it down.
