That is an SXRD, which is pretty much just Sonys proprietary LCD. Bought that a few months before I moved into my house. And no, speakers aren't bose. Thats actually from a cheap theater-in-a-box. If I did have a couple thousand to blow on a sound system, I wouldn't get bose.

Should probably look into the speakers I got since they are pretty awesome and then you'd have the whole set

I was always surprised at the price of the Bravia LCDs when they first came out. Part of the reason I went with the SXRD instead.

It's actually not bad though... it's easy to take to friends' houses to play LAN games and stuff.

It is my TV, but considering family is over here a lot it may as well be a family room.

lol plasma TV's, that's a 52" RPLCD so it doesn't have the lolburnin of plasma or the lulzy pixelation problems, going big on plasma was and still is pretty stupid because of all the hilarious things they do.
