The Zakat Chronicles is a Singleplayer Zerg campaign where you play as Cerebrate Zakat, Kerrigan's new strike force commander. Taking place after the end of Brood Wars, Kerrigan seeks to further establish her stranglehold on the Koprulu sector, and to not only decimate her enemies but demonstrate her powers by creating unusually powerful new soldiers.

I also put the original campaign before certain edits up:

You can direct download from my topic at SEN:

I just /facepalm'd at all the replies in your thread on SEN about "what" it is.

I'll check it out.

Edit: Thanks for sending the maps. I think Meta can talk more regarding your maps, since it seems you design for the same genre/game type.

The basics, like grammar, tone, speed. You can download a program that gives appropriate durations for transmission/dialogue  texts. Story, plot, characterization, stuff like that, are core to campaigns from what I'm getting.

I prefer seriousness in the characters, a few light jokes, but not too much to make them look less. Mission objectives. Terrain, doodads, and as meta said, ambiance.

I design around Strategy game types, so, I can't really say anything more.

From browsing through their map compendium, the lack of Campaigns explains everything. I'd venture a guess this is partly dota's fault -- the trend of non-campaign ums.

Anyway, you mentioned scrapped missions, post them up. One man's verdict isn't enough. ;)

Also, there are a few insightful feedback back at the Survivors thread. I'm sure you can take some input from there. I haven't personally played the missions yet, but I'm very much eager to play-test them, and provide feedback.

SEN got problems with their confirmation, from the PM I've sent. So, another place to download might help, even if it bombards the browser with pop-ups. What matters is getting what we need, right? ;)

Please send the maps, including the scrapped ones to my email. I've included it via PM.

I'll send you the program via e-mail later.

As for the game-type, I believe you've got a Tactical, or "installation" type missions. The idea being each map requires the player to utilize predefined stuff. For Strategy, if it involves questions like, "how much of this unit do I produce over a period of time", "should I expand now", "am I getting sufficient amount of resources per minute vs demand" -- macro stuff.

So, yeah, like, when trying to download campaigns from a compendium, I wish they had categories -- like, "oh, this campaign is like that enslavers campaign, where you build bases, produce units, and try to match the conditions of battle."

About the tone, from what I'm getting, it would also be good if we have makers define their story like, "okay, this is a romance story", or say, "traditional sci-fi", "farce", "remake", "epic", "drama", "suspense", "terror" -- stuff like that.

Edit:

Also, there are links provided within the Survivors thread. Can help you with organizing your project and formatting text.
