It's amazingly pathetic how much most of the TNG movies (save First Contact) sucked.  Thats what you get though when you have bad writers.

Yeah, this is always a big letdown. Sure, love scenes are okay in a movie/series that deals with that kind of thing, but Star Trek, COME ON! Plus the fact that I hate prequels (read: retcon galore), I don't think I'm gonna see this one.

Life used to be so simple. Star Trek = Space = Aliens = Occasional Drama = Cool Names = Neat Races = Silly SFX = Silly Suits.

Now it's, Star Trek = Hollywood Beating A Dead Horse.
...Actually a whole lot simpler that way.

That looked terrible. Looked just like 20+ other generic movies that I knew would suck.

Not in America. Until we have our second anti-sex movement when everyone girls go back to wearing clothes that cover you up and sex is held as a totally private thing except for porn which still still run rampant through the internets, but no longer on "R" rated movies, which will instead only hold at max nudity but no innuendo of sex.

Then we will miss this.

I don't think Kirk being a lady magnet in the old series had anything on what's going on here.

Unless of course you're not watching the same Star Trek I watched.
