Cinematics in LotC?

Okay everyone, time for a very very important poll.  Do you guys want to see pre-rendered cinematics in LotC?  Those of you who still frequent CC right now can shape the future.  If the ultimate vote is yes, there will be 3, one for each segment of the campaign.  If not, then only in-game cinematic cut-scenes will be used.

Man, you managed to make a cinematic close to Blizz SC1 quality.  You can do it with SC2 quality.  I vote yes.

Of course there should be pre-rendered cinematics. You have the talent, why let it go to waste? I know I would make such things if I was going to mod again.

Personally rather see more good in-game ones. The single player story mode space has impressed me already. Basically doing better then the ingame engine on itself is going to be hard. My main 'gripe' though would be that the game switching to pre-rendered simply takes me out of the game, in-game cutscenes have a real plus over that.

Actually my opinion is that you should only make cinematics for important scenes.  The rest you should leave in game.  Take WC III as an example.

Well the main advantage of pre-rendered cinematics is they are much easier to control and you can convey scale and stuff much better. Need a giant fleet battle of several thousand battlecruisers? No problem, and it'll look way better than ingame!

"Just use the in-game engine for in-game cinematics"

I say don't use pre-rendered stuff. With what we have seen with SC2's terran Hyperion thingy, you should be able to do that in-game, in-engine. This will give you way more flexibility in figuring out exactly what you want it to look like. With cinematics, render time is a killer, and it will definitely be easier to find people who can do it for in game, and you won't need them if they ever quit the project, their assets are just as good without them.

As awesome as they are I'd rather see people make better use of the briefing thing, whatever the hell it ends up being.

The only, and I mean -only- way I'd say to do prerendered cinematics is if you intend to take advantage of the time you have now.  In other words, time you can't use to work directly in-game.  If the game was actually released, I'd definitely say no, absolutely not.  Do it your way though, if you have reliable people you can count on, thats always a plus.

Here on the contrary I'd say prerendered since it's stuff people already know HOW to perform.

If you can do it, go for it.

I say no... they always look amateurish and take me out of it.  It will take you forever too, and you could just do a good cinematic in the game.

I'm gonna vote no. I'd rather see all efforts focused on the story and design in-game. Movies are pretty but it's the game itself that wins the day IMO.

One could say the same thing about SC2's FMVs, but they still make them.
