The usual impressive cinematic display. I have to remind myself how much work goes into these things since there are so many good cinematics in many different games.

Note to the rest of you: King Terenas's War3 voice actor died after recording his lines for Warcraft 3, that is why he doesn't sound the same.

^ Really? I didn't even notice the difference. They found a good replacement actor.
Wow! What a cinematic. Once again, Blizzard proves to retain their best cinematic title over all other game companies. When the Dragon came out, omgosh...
Having Arthas' father narrate the cinematic opening was a nice touch. The situational irony of righteousness vs. evil actually fills in holes of Arthas' character development that WCIII left behind. That father, son moment is truly tragic because it is Arthas who "ended" his father's days and now he will be "King" of all Undeath.

^ Actually the cinematic is complete. Neth clarified her answer:
No, I'm saying, that the trailer is complete by itself, but it is merely the setup for what is to come. So the story is incomplete. We've seen what has become of Arthas, but we do not yet know what further fate has in store for him and the Lich King alike. It also brings back the question, of whether or not if you kill the Lich King, does he really die or not? Who ends up paying the price?
For those not interested in the lore, to me and many others (I'm sure) it is the lore that makes things so exciting and adds to the excitement of encountering it within the game. While you do not need to know the lore to play the game, might I suggest finding out more in regard to Arthas for when you go into Northrend? I think it will add to your enjoyment more than you realize.
Essentially, the actual gameplay takes place right where the cinematic leaves off. Once you land in Northrend, you are facing the Lich King's army and apparently interact with the Lich King himself.
Neth also gives us some juicy teases as to what happens to Arthas. It appears the expansion is giving Arthas a more human look. Could it be Blizzard is trying to portray Arthas as the next Anakin Skywalker? When players face the Lich King, will the final battle have an epic ending where Arthas reclaims his soul from the Lich King? Is there truly humanity left in the broken young Paladin?

Yeah man it would be totally surprising and innovative if they made one of their characters archetypical.

I would be surprised if they let you destroy the Lich King.
What I expect to happen is you fight the Lich King, and he congratulates you for fulfilling his master plan (anyone that thinks Arthas would just let the elite armies of the Alliance and Horde on his doorstep for no good reason are deluding themselves; they're there because he WANTS them there), and sets up for the next expansion.

Underground, or another portal to another world. Personally, I hope the next expansion is a giant cliff. Yes, a giant cliff, and thats it.

Are you going to play this expansion I presume. I might. But they did an outstanding job on the cinematic, I hope they dont kill the Lich King like both Arthas and Lich King because the fact that hes powerful and a major lore hero it'd be weird if some random heroes just killed him then wandered off. Unless they make the Ashbringer with Fordring a major factor in the battle.

With a new cinematic comes a new expansion...With a new expansion comes a new class... With a new expansion comes a new beta...With a new beta comes a new look at the new class. (I'm not sure if this has been posted but i do not think it has.)

The issues with the Emerald Dream haven't exactly been resolved. Same with the Maelstrom.
