I never knew that Halo was about militant high-tech nazis serving a white supremacist empire by waging war against slave armys from outer space. I always thought it's story was supposed to suck.

Halo is a story about Bob and his sexual encounter with Freudian concepts... in space

I have to say, that last blog entry was refreshing to read.

A couple of words about Original Sin (it pains me to use capital letters in regards to that) before cumpilation goes up (which I assume will happen in a foreseeable future):

True, I played a lot of shitty titles in my time, but this was seriously disgusting. Being a Mesk viewer I really invested some time in doing "science" in that game. And boy are there enough opportunities for it... There is literally zero balance and abuse protection. If anything can say it better than 1-shotting the final boss, then I dunno. But... I'm just an intern scientist... So I'm eager to find out which despicable horrors me and my friend missed in our go. Cause we certainly not touching this shit again to find out.

OS isn't that bad. The biggest offenders I would say so far are clear lack of development direction, clear lack of testing, and performance problems. It's also a bit simple for my liking. I would have preferred they did something more, but it was a kickstarter, and those are always doomed to be lackluster at the very best. My biggest peeve is how they claimed they supported custom content but didn't lift a finger to do so.

/edit

I have been informed model support was added yesterday or something. I haven't checked it out though.

I'm still hyped for the LP. You can really one-shot the final boss? This is going to be good :D (this smiley is meant to be a laughing face)

Yes, you actually can 1-shot pretty much anything in the game. One good point about this game is that you can kill everyone not invulnerable which includes vast majority of NPCs and still finish the game. Oh, and for once - dead merchants drop ALL their stuff. Though, admittedly - normally it's not anything good. Most skills can be maxed through gear switch without ever investing any hard points in it, same goes for attributes.

One of the easiest ways I found to deal with any battle is petrifying touch (and it's analog - shocking touch). All controls incapacitate quite similarly, but these two are also very high chance of success. And as far as I recall - nothing in the game (save maybe earth elementals and some garbage) can actually resist petrifying touch, including bosses. And with high enough Intelligence you can spam it while your partner chips away at that creature.

One of the most common things for us in that game was making charges and haste in real time then we aggro a big group of idiots just by teleporting one them next to my partner and him basically unleashing all he got. Most of the times that was enough. Exit the battle before everyone else gets there and repeat. Not tested and buggy as hell game. Should be fun to watch, to some extent anyways )

Hahaha. You really aren't even close to the level of broken we found. Though it's a bit more temperamental.

Seems like people buy more titles than they have time to play. I bet half the industry exists as part of the 'back(rear)log'. If read your rant correctly, this extra demand is being artificially driven by game reviews and/or casuals with more money than sense. Is that correct?

Think of it as like apple products. No one buys them to actually do anything with them. They buy them for the brand and to be hip. Much is also the case with a tremendous amount of FOSS.

Well, I managed to glitch through pretty much everything including supposed progression locks, kill barriers and in untextured worldspace or whatever it is called. Random disabled controls and disappearing character meshes. Standing on someone's head firmly. Oh, and yeah, controlled flying couple of meters above the ground in the prone position while buffing my friend who is fighting on the other end of the map. That kinda shit comes to mind when you say broken. But I'm sure there is no end to expanding horizons on this example of game "development" )))).

I had some screenshots somewhere... Heck If remember where though

Is the world truly ready for this LP? Could it ever be? There is only one way to find out.
