Re: LP Update/Comment Thread

Alright. Here's another update.
1.)
HKS arrived and helped with the monitor problem. Capacitors went in, and it seems to work, though there was a brief moment of panic when one of the edges was super dark, as one of the lamps was apparently not connecting properly. So far, so good. No fires, no odd smells, and the flickering is a thing of the past. If his monitor is anything to go by, this thing will last for years to come yet.
I have found what appears to be a decent monitor on NCIX. I plan to acquire it, and will set up dual monitors. This has been a long-term goal for me for years. Now I finally have space for it. This will immensely improve my workflow, especially when it comes to things like Retribution, LP's, and, when the time comes, Starcraft 2 or the UDK. This is coming out of the money I am owed for moving.
2.)
The immense amount of Ut3 footage is slowly getting ground through. This may be a multi-part psychological adventure, as I am actually somewhat tight on HD space at the moment, and much recording remains.
3.)
Dragon's Crown offline recordings are fully verified as of a few days ago. I await the online recordings, and completion of the run, to verify the rest.
4.)
Retribution's audio is undergoing a preliminary review with my editor, dissecting some problem spots and tackling some script and acting oddities. It is likely the project will undergo this process at least once more, once recordings are fully finished. As a result I hope to improve the quality of the project and ensure a meaningful release, even if it means I must rewrite huge chunks of dialogue, which is already turning out to be necessary. I am currently waiting to hear from 3 people for outsourced voices. I am about 50% through my compositing rework and 70% done my voice acting. I am roughly 40% through polishing and timing - the major remaining areas are those I still need to do voice work for, namely areas with Haktish and Adashim.
5.)
I informed Lavarinth to A. remove the long-defunct link to my subdomain and B. restore the AO link on CC.
6.)
Cat was in dire straights but seems to be stabilizing again... yeah... it's not been fun. The hood will not be coming off for a very long time.
7.)
I have an AWP I haven't gotten to editing for like 2 weeks now. God damn.
