Yeah. HOLY resurrection indeed
Alot of people have assumed that Sons of War has finally died, that the insignificant dreams of insignificant people was finally exhausted. Well that almost became true. Last July, SoW's leader, ITSTORRASQUE4U, suddenly vanished without a trace. Our team soon became disorganized and, one by one, we went in our separate ways (including me); except for a few dedicated individuals who kept on going, just so that there will always be something "Sons of War" around. But just last December, under new leadership, SoW is back! The team is back! And everything is up and running again.
I'll post every update I can post. As you may of course know, I can't post stuff about the maps or the story info.
I'll start with how the actual game is doing:
Our Phalanx sprite has remained relatively unchanged.

But our other sprites, like the Rattail and Vanguard sprites you see in the previous posts, were lost since the person who made them left without notice. Anyway, we modified the designs of the said units so we might as well make new sprites.
The most I can give you right now are our graphics work. They're not much as the maps and the modding work are what we're focusing on recently.

Again, we're hard at work mainly on the maps which we can't show to anyone outside of the project. But overall, things are progressing nicely, aside from occasional setbacks and brick walls.

The team is currently composed of 19 active, closely-bonded friends; each posessing expertise in certain fields such as mapping, modding, tileset editing, voice acting, script/story writing, concept art, and high-end CGI.
