Use the XP emulator. Jesus tap-dancing Christ.
Yeah... I'm not paying an extra $150 for XP emulation that can't even run DX.
What Windows 7 do you have? It's free on pretty much every version except basic.

Home premium. Last I read you needed ultimate to get the XP emulator.

Locally, anything higher than home premium is at LEAST $100 more.

You need at least Professional.

I have the story for a sequel to Echoes fully fleshed out, but I doubt it will get past that. Free time is extra-scarce these days.

yeah, I'd love to see an RTS that is generally as easy to edit as a Blizzard game but with true 3D environments allowing for stuff like tunnels, stairs and bridges that twist around each other with as much complexity as an FPS deathmatch level. That would mean editing it would be less simple and require something like Hammer, and actually to actually play it and command units in different areas at once in realtime would probably require an interface that abstracts things away to make it easier to visualise while not allowing you to appreciate the pretty scenery :(

lol

first "editing" = modding, second "editing" = mapping

"BUT AREN'T THEY THE SAME??!" - Blizzard

well the first "editing" also includes triggering etc I guess, but yeah, StarCraft 2 is not that game!

Halo CE.

Seriously.

You make the maps in 3ds max, having to adhere to a silly sealed world rule which can make things painful, but the editor runs the engine so you can do everything from spawn a shower of warthogs in the air and watch them roll across the map or whatnot.

Most FPS editors like Hammer are convoluted and needlessly overcomplicated, cluttered, and irritating for the simplest of tasks. But Halo's editor, while it was fairly difficult to get into at first, was actually quite decent. Props to gearbox.

Me? I'm working on finding a good support group who shares my interests in a non-competitive way. I'm wondering if you guys have new campaigns for Zerg, in a way more of a "challenge" type missions. Have you played Generals? Just like that.

But, yeah, what have you guys been up to? No new campaigns, projects? Busy with school?
I've been inactive >.< But now I'm back... not currently working on any campiagns, but planning one for SC2 (HA).
