Um...aren't those of use who looked for flashlights in the first day supposed to have gotten -1 Paranoia?

2) Search for Item (+1 Paranoia if Looking for Weapon; -1 Paranoia Other)

The cold hearthless expanse has now gotten even more dangerous as the Thing lurks the station for its victims but the humans continue on even with an insidious threat in their midsts...

Lavarinth turns on his flashlight and looks for a shotgun but in his weakened condition, fail to find one.  (Roll of 4 + 2 Item Bonus vs. DC of 8)

Flyinghat accuses Milldawg of being the Thing. (-1 Paranoia to Self; +3 Paranoia to Milldawg)

Thalraxal begins to seductively heal Lavarinth and does for 10 HP.  (Roll of 11 - 1 Paranoia)

Milldawg continues his quest for crack and succeeds at being the first crackhead on the Antarctican continent. (Roll of 7-2=5 vs. DC of 4)

Saint_Kerrigan turns on his flashlight and tries to see if he can find a flamethrower, but forgets what a flamethrower looks like.  (Roll of 4-2+2=4 vs. DC of 12)

WedgeAntilles creates an antigen to immunize someone against the Thing and promises to search for a pistol the next day.

Tramau enters the communications bunker and starts to repair the radio. (3 days left)

AA7Dragoon turns on his flashlight and looks for the elusive shotgun but also does not succeed. (2-2+2+2=4 vs. DC of 8)

Mucky did something outside with himself.



Meanwhile, a crackling sound from near the destroyed Norwegian helicopter disturbs everyone's sleep during the night and it is only in the morning that they discover what it was - the sound of rending bones.  The Thing has devoured the corpse to replenish itself.

Shaken but not deterred, the occupants of the science station continue on into the third day of...The Thing!

Ok, so I have this antigen item here, and since I'm one of the less important characters, I believe someone else needs this more than I do. Who thinks they should have it?

DoW, I just want to make sure, if I give this antigen item to the Thing, it doesn't help it at all, right?
I know I can't attack on this same turn if I give and item, but can I defend?
Also, at what level does paranoia paralyze a player?

Wedge, paranoia adds a negative value to your action, if you roll 5 but have a paranoia of 3, your roll is 2.

Search for Shotgun. I need something to defend myself with.

You don't need me to post my actions since I am not deviating from my plan.

I will SEARCH FOR CRACK until I find it. Then I will SEARCH FOR KNIFE until I find it. The I will SEARCH FOR SECOND KNIFE until I find it and dual-wield. Then I will HIDE IN THE CORNER until the Thing attacks me.

Also, at what level does paranoia paralyze a player?
1) You can give it to whoever you want and it can be on the same turn as any non-combat action.

2) It won't help the Thing.

3) You can always defend with no cost.  Anyone who attacks takes 1 Paranoia.

4) That depends on the dice roll and item bonuses you get.  If you have 6 Paranoia and you roll a 2 during a fight, GG.

I'd accuse you of the Thing if I didn't need my Shotgun to blast the Thing into piles of flesh, first.

I don't get how I gain paranoia when I've done absolutely nothing that would increase my paranoia count.

You should give it to Lav. He's the only one of us confirmed not to be the Thing.

Paranoia subtracts from your dice roll, so if your paranoia gets high enough, you'll be subtracting more than you're adding. That's why I'm going to sleep. I'm just freakin' out. :)
