Omega, you are making like a dozen assumptions upon an actual battlefield to construct a situation where a certain tactic may or may not work. Obviously everything depends on a variety of parameters. And besides, radiation will do no good against protoss probes, don't assume someone would raid a protoss economy with that particular stragegy.  

All we are talking about here is a favorite unit. And I love to work with science vessels because they are really cool units. That's all. Units that are non-direct combat forces can give a lot of strategic depth to a game, if properly handeled.
