It will run sc2, yes. As for how long it will last... depends what you intend to run things at. I suspect that card will have trouble with stuff 2-3 years down the line. I dunno anything about the i7 720 but my 920 absolutely destroys anything you throw at it. Frapsing Crysis on max settings 1920x1200, SC2, you name it.

But why are you getting a laptop for gaming? You realize you're spending like... a ton of cash?

Oh, I'm not. It's a backup plan in case something magically happens that prevents everyone's nice advice from letting me build one. I'm quite technologically challenged, so laptops are....very convenient. Cash wise, if I am getting a PC, it will cost more than this laptop, but obviously be a lot sexier. In exchange, well I have to actually have to learn what the hell is going on.

I find it strange that a lot of [Computer] gamers hardly know how to use the computer itself. It scares me. When using something for years, don't you start to get curious? I mean, I've found about 5 people that didn't know how to get to the Maps folder of SC, not just where it was they didn't know how to get to program files or ANYTHING. It sucked having to explain to people ~4-20 years older than you where 'My Computer' was.

What has this world come to.
