Re: How Did You Get Your Internet Identity?
Eh, I'm sure I told the story before, but I met someone on the old Prodigy service bulletin boards back in... hmmmm, 1995? Some charismatic guy there named Harlock befriended me and ended up sending me a couple of animes, Galaxy Express 999 and Uchuu Senkan Yamato. Desler is from Yamato. I enjoyed the series a lot and it was the only anime I watched for a very long time (even though it was very old). I lost track of Harlock after Prodigy upgraded to full blown dial-up internet. I only saw Harlock again about 8 or so years ago when he visited Campaign Creations and said hello on the forum.
Things change, you can get anime anywhere on the internet these days, I just thought it was real cool someone was willing to help out a near stranger and send videos at their own expense after just a few conversations. Lots of things change, though I think I still have those VHS tapes somewhere in my closet (though no way to play them any longer).

Sad sorry of technology there. To think of how fast VCR players came and went. What's after CD-shaped devices? I'm guessing USB-drive-like items, considering a USB drive can hold hundreds of gigs now. But then what?Desler wrote: (though no way to play them any longer).
