Re: LP Update/Comment Thread
Yoshi's island recordings are done. I'll momentarily be adding a short new XXE to the LP thread.

Re: LP Update/Comment Thread
I forgot to unmute the mic at some point and will have to re-record about 23 minutes of yoshi's island microphone post-production. Balls.
Started recording DMC4. I'll be doing this run in turbo mode as far as I can manage (hopefully the entire thing) since my save game difficulty unlock idea didn't pan out.

Re: LP Update/Comment Thread
Yoshi's Island, a jenkem-huffing adventure of ludicrous silliness, is now available.

Re: LP Update/Comment Thread
I have made public the HTML listing for my League of Legends casts. To access this directory, use the League link under Quick Links in the LP thread.
This file is void of a large amount of text-only comments (particularly for FPVOD games) and other such information which is stored privately. Needless to say, any comments or criticism you have about my play is no doubt something I am abundantly aware of because I go through all videos before releasing them. The listing contains some ARAM games, some FPVOD normals/ranked games, and some casts of other people's games. It is updated semi-regularly with new releases; I'll post updates here when it gets updated.
The videos labelled as DUAL AUDIO have TWO audio streams you can flip between in VLC or MPC. These will be FPVOD audio recorded during play and a commentary casted over the video afterwards.
Keep in mind I am not anywhere near as experienced of a league player as I was a Starcraft player, so don't expect super accurate casting much less good gameplay out of me.

Ah, i realy love how you turn the happy world of Mario and Yoshi to such creepy ideas. The Block of crheese at 7:30 of the first episode gave me an idea:

BTW in Yoshi's Island you mention something akin to "are these scaling effects ? I think these are sprite effects".
IIRC, Yoshi't Island cartridge had a special FX2 chip in it, solely for scaling effects, these are one of the claims to fame of this game (Super Nintendo was not powerful enough to produce the (at the time) amazing boss effects).

Re: LP Update/Comment Thread
Seeing you do the last bonus stage (castle) in YI reminded me of my days long ago, when I was doing the Donkey Kong Country 2 full clear (102%).
There is a secret world there, where one of the last levels (doesn't matter, but it may have been the hardest one) has these tiny bramble corridors, where you touch a wall and instantly die (you are morphed to a bird the whole time, and are flying). What makes that excruciatingly hard, is -- there is wind, that blows sometimes from the right, sometimes from the left (it changes mid-flight multiple times), and while flying through these bramble corridors you have to compensate for the wind with these micro-stutter taps on left and right directional buttons.
I full cleared that game, on a console.
Still that game is not recommended for an LP, because maybe a quarter of the content is bonus (full clear related, you can beat the game with 70ish percent completion), and some of that bonus content is "I think I just sweat blood" hard.
Yoshi's Island does not look as hard, but I understand your plight (present to past, as I'm watching it :).
Also, a recommendation to LP Super Metroid, aka Metroid 3, for SNES. That game is fair, looks and sounds amazing, you do not need to know anything about it (blind play friendly), and it does not matter if you do not get all secrets, the experience itself is Amazing. Best 2d platformer of all time (opinion).

Ohh, if you're open to suggestion, i do want to ask if you would be interested to play a Mario RPG. Super mario RPG, Mario & luigi Superstar Saga, Partners in Time, Bowser's Inside Story and Dream Team. I love this serie so... yeah, as you wish.

Re: LP Update/Comment Thread
Also, when you say in review "some people complain that LPs are too long", well know this, as far as I am concernaed, the longer the better, because I am (a wizard) of free time. The longer it takes, the longer I can take my time to kick back, make some tea and snacks, and enjoy watching someone suffer, who is not me. Which is always nice.
