All right, gentlemen. I might as well let you in on what I am doing.
I am finishing my last semester of the Master in Education graduate program. I just had my graduation ceremony Saturday. Right now, I am finishing up my thesis paper and looking for a job. I finished my student teaching and had an amazing time teaching English to classes of students. This is my passion. This is my life to be an English teacher.
I will know in the next few weeks if I have a job or not. Currently I have a BA in English, and will have a Master in Education degree come July.
(So I think that's awesome you're an English teacher too, Legion. I hope you stay in it.)
In my Freshman year, my second semester was with a student teacher, and I must say it was the most refreshing class I attended all of high school. The first and only time I was truly inspired to focus on English was with this teacher who just started his first student teacher class. Scared out of his mine in his early 20's, and he was very effective. It wasn't until I read 1984 in my Senior year that I got back into English since. From then on I always had a passion for English and enjoyed my English classes in college. I considered switching my major to English, but had made the mistake of attending an Institute, so it was not something done so easily, so I persisted with my degree.

Better educate yourself on how these things work then, because university/college is NOTHING LIKE HIGH SCHOOL

Seeing as school is almost out and I will only have 4 classes next year, I have decided to hunker down and really get to work on my playing ability. Recently I have started a grueling... and somewhat painful... practice schedule that involves 2 hours on drumset, 1 hour on piano, and 30 minutes on rudimental studies and other etudes. I am working to get a good head start in my music career, so I just gotta keep pushing onward.

Teaching is cool, AA7, you're totally right. I just wish my teacher training college had better teachers to teach me. It's been a pain, really.
I teach in high school, and I like it, but I someday hope to be able to do more than that.

As someone who's never stepped anywhere near a school, or received any kind of formal education, my future is vastly uncertain. But suspense is cool. Will I be a self-styled writer? A wandering artist? Perhaps even an actor struggling endlessly to break into the scene!
Most likely, I'll end up in a job that utilizes my knowledge of the Japanese language. I'm approaching fluency at a startling rate (startling for someone with my brain capacity, anyway), so... yeah. Maybe that'll happen. I've already got... connections.

I always figured most of you guys were just students, but some of you guys have some really cool jobs. But to me, you'll always be those teenage punks who overran my forum.
Aww, that's touching. Kind of.
Say, what do
you do, anyway? Speak! If you say nothing, I'll just assume you're the guy who lives in my fridge and turns off the light when I close the door.
