Valve is the safest from piracy. Steam essentially encases Games dependent on it in a protective bubble with a console-like atmosphere. If you want to get any serious enjoyment out of garry's mod, TF2, L4D, and even HL2 you are going to have to get the game legally. Likewise, blizzard would be smart to make a similar bubble around any of its future games and refrain from adding in retarded 3rd party anti-pirate apps like secu-rom which do nothing but encourage more piracy (From what I understand, blizzard is doing the former and thats good.).

Single Player yes just no achievements are available while offline.

Games have always gotten my money, whether PC or otherwise.  If its really 80 percent, I feel like a sucker.
