My friend Avarlin and I cannot play the WoS Campaigns due to the new patch, of course that patch affected nearly all my custom campaigns and from my 2,200 custom maps I can now only host 5... so yeah there are some problems but since we're both progressing through it, we would like to be able to play it, but unfortunately Avarlin can't load the 6th map for Chapter 4, and black screens occur instantly on load of other chapters.

Unlike I, Avarlin also has had to spam or mass units of a sort to get past several missions, a particular one being one without crypt fiends that nearly made her quit it.

If you know of a downgrader it'd be appreciated, otherwise a link to the fixed maps would be preferred.

The fixed maps aren't uploaded yet because they haven't been playtested.  I've only gone through the first two Books so far.

Books 1, 2, and 4 had the most changes done to them; the other three are relatively unchanged. In particular, most of the timed levels have had their countdown time increased (probably most importantly in the penultimate level in Book 4; the Hard mode timer in particular was too strict).

Also, you can actually find Dragon King Naja somewhere. He doesn't do anything important.

In theory the last three Books don't need to be playtested, but you never can tell.

I presume you're talking about the one where you finish Ebon. That one is somewhat tough, especially at the beginning where sometimes two enemies will attack at once and you've got only Abolisher to defend. After Shizuka's arrival, it is easier. Ebon's Infernals are a pain, but to undo the spell, simply slay Ebon (target the Gravity Cannon and the Soul Blight spells on her).
The Radik Empire sends a hero every two waves. A few towers and an Acolyte to restore them are usually enough. You should expand and summon Spirit Towers fast. This prevents the Satyrs from siding with other players on attacks.
An extra note regarding Ebon: perhaps you should keep an Owl Scout on the canyon leading to Ebon's base. If you see her coming, approach her with a hero or unit and she'll summon her Infernals on the spot. This is usually a better idea than letting her rain them on your base. They'll stun your heroes and damage your buildings.

Is this the one where you escape with Shizuka? I played on Hard and finished it with a few seconds left. It is tough, you have to play the mission twice to understand you can't waste your time killing more than you need to. I had time to get the Helm of Battlethirst.
I was also using the Bikini of Invincibility. You probably want players to be able to choose not to wear it.
I think it doesn't need to be increased more than 15 to 30 seconds.

By the way, there is no warning on the official page declaring the campaigns are not working for patch 1.24. People may still be downloading, so perhaps a big case message should be written there.

Mass Black Sphinxes. Always. ;D They're always very useful, but in particular they eat the Chaos Legion for breakfast.

I also tend to demolish some of the outlying Satyr buildings to cripple their ability to attack without killing them off entirely.

Escaping the cauldron is easier if you give Boots of Speed to Shizuka beforehand. IIRC you can find some in crates in the Eclipse Cannon mission.

interesting thing to note:

the helm isn't always helm of battlethirst, as I only received it on the first attempt while other attempts I just got a helm of valor instead of helm of battlethirst.

It depends on the difficulty. Higher difficulty gets you the better item.

So what is the ETA on the fix?

Catapult Scorpion is getting a nice buff-- it's actually getting a spell. All it had going for it before was auto-attack, which is boring (Death Revenant is kind of weak, too, but if you're seriously lucky you can Animate Dead a defeated summon, so it's staying the way it is).

how do you animate a defeated summon?  they don't leave corpses?

It works in the summoner duel levels in book 3. I did the animate quite few times. It was awesome cause I reanimated my enemies defeated monsters. :-)

I'm starting to consider just uploading what I have; I don't have a lot of time to playtest the thing to make sure everything I think works actually still works.

Hahah... Miranda's soul power crashes the game now (which is kind of odd considering Veraft's Fire Spin uses practically the same code and that one works fine). Not that it wasn't an extra thing; the game doesnt lose anything if I just disable it.

EDIT: Shield abilities the Morkoth have also seem to crash the game when exiting the level. Going to have to disable that as well. I suppose that'll just make the Morkoth even easier to beat.

Couldn't you actually FIX IT instead of just getting rid of it?
