I suggest posting your questions related to mapping or modding in the StarCraft forum.

There are no limitations.

The main requirement of the rule has been adjustment as per popular demand.

On the one hand, who wants to play 20 campaigns that all rehash the same story of Raynor killing Dominion and Zerg, Zeratul killing hybrids, and Kerrigan killing everything else? On the other hand, it would be interesting to see who can be the most creative within that story. I personally have no interest in telling that story, but that doesn't mean I can't make my campaign anyhow. I'm not entitled to the contest.

Two things:

1. As of right now, the max score obtainable is 40/50. What?

2. Vista's paint doesn't load .pcx files. Is there a free, easy way to convert .pcx to .bmp?

Terrain has two seperate scores: layout, and beauty. So it counts for 20/50.

Photoshop if you already have it, GIMP and IrfanView if you're poor. (google it)
ToPNG is a nice program, just drag and drop your file in there and it converts it. (despite it's name, you can change it)

Can you delete the project you started and start again like a redo

I think you can't do it. (If you read the rules, it says that only ONE thread per person.) However, you can modify it at your convenience using the same thread (it's your project :P)

Correct, modify your project's story and make a note of it as there are records of what the original intention was.

I'm officially submitting my campaign idea thing tonight.

And I have no problem with the original rules. Crying about contest restrictions is like complaining that you can't run in a potato sack race or hold an egg in your hand instead of a spoon in that weird, spoon, egg thing.

Rules is rules. Keeps things challenging. Nobody cares how creative you are if you can't work within the constraints of your superiors. If you don't believe me, try working in the Film business  ;D
