AA7Dragoon's scarce remains have fed a wounded Thing but still occupy a quarantined section of the morgue.
Thalraxal gets back to work on repairing the radio and reports that only one more day is needed before they can radio out.
Lavarinth turns on his flashlight and searches for some soothing alcohol, which he easily finds in the abandoned station bar. (2 + 4 Item Bonus vs. DC of 2)
Tramau creates a test tube sample of The Thing's DNA to be taken with the group when they finally escape.
Mucky, still outside, takes out his flashlight and with its long beams cutting through the howling winds, finds two unused tear gas canisters. (12 + 4 Item Bonus - 2 Paranoia = 14 SUPER CRITICAL vs. DC of 6)
Flyinghat, meanwhile, gets some long-deserved sleep which reduces his paranoia and heals his HP but can make him vulnerable to an attack until he wakes up tomorrow. (+2 HP; -2 Paranoia)
During the night, The Thing tries to infect Flyinghat while he sleeps and combat begins!
The Thing infects Flyinghat for 9 damage. (11+4 Sleep Bonus-4 Infect Penalty=11 vs. 6-2 Paranoia-2 Age Penalty) 11 HP Left
Flyinghat shoots The Thing for 11 damage. (10+8-4-2=16vs.1) 13 HP Left
The Thing infects Flyinghat for 6 damage. (7+2=9vs.7-2-2) 7 HP Left
Flyinghat shoots The Thing for 9 damage who tries to flee.(8+8-2-2=14vs.3) 13 HP Left
The Thing barely manages to evade the shot and flee away. (7+2=9vs.7) 13 HP Left
And now, the fifth day begins as five lone humans try to survive and escape the grasp of...THE THING!

Notes: The "Run Away" is an action that happens whenever you have under 5 HP (or are about to) where you try to evade the last attack's damage and get away. I tried to keep it simple for the sake of automatic combat; if you win the roll, you get away with no damage and if you fail, you take the damage.

Well, after FlyingHat's encounter with the Thing, I think it's reasonable to say he's not it. Thalraxal has continued AA7's work on the radio and is one day away from finishing it, so he's also low on my list of possible infected. I'd really like to finish my examination of Lavarinth, but I apparently forgot how to draw blood from somebody. I need to get out of the cold. FlyingHat, if you don't mind holding still...
