I'm sorry, did I stutter? I said IN-GAME CINEMATICS IN WOW NOT FANWORK. I'm getting tired of your sarcastic asshole responses, so do something PRODUCTIVE for once and reply with a DECENT response.

I'm confused.  I thought that -was- in-game, done by Blizzard.  A non-interactive cutscene, sure, but done with the game engine in the game engine during gameplay.

I never said that. I asked a [simple] question: Does [Blizzard Entertainment] have any more [in-game cutscenes] that occur [while playing the game].

No, it's predone and just stuck in, ingame cutscenes done with the ingame engine was the Sunwell walkthrough in MGT.

It's not ingame. It's pre-rendered using the same content elements as the game. And no, there isn't any other stuff like that right now, unless WotLK has others we haven't seen yet.

It's predone, and I'm assuming the player just continues to stand there not doing anything. (Wonder what happens if he gets whispered.) BUT.. Isn't it possible to just be instanced to play it and not be a prerendered video.. I mean.. They even interact with each other as lame as they do in-game. Eh, just a thought.

The player probably either just stands there or "zones out" (The Barber shops zone you out when you use them).

They probably just get phased out temporarily. Instancing it wouldn't be possible if they wanted to do the scourge attack and the voices because of how WoW treats soundfiles.

Blizzard has too much <3 for their users using GeForce4 MX 440's and TNT2's to do anything using the actual game engine like that.

Plus syncing the animations (Arthas shattering the guy's axe) would be pretty much impossible with WoW's engine.

That makes it so much less cool.  Its just like any other video, although of course they have the raw resources of the entire game to work with as opposed to the video makers who just have to be creative.  Ah well, its nice for consistency at any rate, and I'm sure it costs so much less to produce then true cinematics.
