I will be tentatively recording Payday: The Heist runs with Wibod and co when they are available. Balancing the audio between 4 different people and the game is going to be challenging and we had to rerun the second mission several times in considerable confusion, so I am not sure how entertaining it will be. The game sure is buggy, though.
/edit
I have decided that Payday will probably get a XXE-like presentation.

A new AWP has been posted.
This is without a doubt the most professional of all of our productions.

Mesk, about Demon´s and Dark Soul´s. You said you wanted to play them in the way the devs intended but the games, (Dark Soul´s in particular), have quite a focus on multi-player. Might you try out the multi-player in Dark Soul´s if you ever play it?

The multiplayer is basically consisted of two things;
1.) Getting ganked by twinks
2.) Getting hand held through secrets and stuff with messages everywhere.
I will consider running dark souls 2 in multiplayer though since it would (probably) be a release environment and not terribly saturated in the above. This is assuming I decide to run it.
I don't consider any of those games to have a "focus" on multiplayer.

Notice to VLC users
I have been notified that VLC defaults a audio normalization option to on that causes significant distortion with the audio in some of my videos. Be sure to turn this off.

A new AWP is out.

I just finished Darksiders 2, it was really bad, not as bad as D3 or Mass Effect 3 but still... It was so disappointing how this game turned out...

My predictions from my few hours of play were grim. I haven't gotten around to actually finishing it though. Dunno when that will be. My priority right now is Retribution.
I'm about to puke up a few-days old super short AWP we recorded.

Greets.
I have an AWP recorded I will edit whenever I feel like it.
I have acquired a highly recommended logitech USB controller for the lowest possible latency solution in emulated games.
I have also been taking a break from LP's since DMC3 and have been mostly resting my hands and recharging my batteries. It is likely my next title will be DMC4 due to this. Not 100% for certain, but I do want to get it done ASAP.
After DMC4, who knows.
I am also planning to do an LP of Gothic 3 at some point. It will most likely be the German version because I want the release version for the buggiest possible experience. If I actually manage to finish the game it would be an incredible achievement worthy of legend.
But, above all, I am massively ramping up work on Retribution.

I am currently recording an R-type 3 run. By "run", obviously I mean it's not going to be a real "run". From what I understand, most people don't really consider these games "beaten" unless they are done in a single credit/continue or something like that (referred to as 1cc). However, this is not exactly within my capabilities, given the last I played a shmup was when the NES was current. Given I also haven't used a D-pad for equally long, and, well...
This will instead be a "full run" in the sense you'll see all the content in the form of a huge death compilation and other silliness. The actual runs will be 1cc runs whenever I am able to actually attempt them, which won't be for a long time (potentially even a year+ from now due to the exceptional difficulty of the games and breaking into the genre).
This is the hardest game I've yet attempted, with the only comparable titles being really DMC3 and Alice. Even those don't really compete with these kinds of titles. I don't know if I am a hard enough man to conquer this coveted section of gaming history, but I plan to try.

A new AWP is out and I have begun editing the completed R-type 3 recordings. When the heat isn't so overwhelming I will see how DMC4 plays out.

Now that CC is finally up after a year of downtime, I have the following material to edit and release.
2 AWP's
1 CC Podcast
An R-Type 3 video
I will edit this post as they are made available, though Lavarinth will be the one that actually releases the CC podcast.
/edit
R-Type 3 is up. This video is part of the new Psychological Adventures (Compilations) section, taking the place of the second post in that thread. The slightly outdated x264 and video data that previously occupied that post was shifted downwards, and I am at some point planning a massive revision of the structure of the thread to organize the Content Extras and random bits of text information a bit more cleanly.
/edit
The two AWP episodes are up and the R-Type 3 review should be done sometime today. The CC cast is in Lavarinth's hands now as well.
/edit
Added R-type 3 review although this isn't much of a "review" I guess.

Regarding difficulty in R-type 3 for SNES vs some other shooters, it may be that they will be nigh impossible to beat without abusing the emulator savestates, because many of them have limited amount of lives (and continues) until they dump you to new game screen (aka "true game over").
I really look forward to your soul crushing let's plays wherein you know that you may never go through a game, because it's impossible to fit your mistakes to 9 or 15 deaths allowed; some of these games are impossible for me to beat for same reason, BUT, your videos are really inspiring me to improve (and I'm not a new gamer, neither am I not skilled), but pure mechanical twitch gameplay is a different beast altogether. It requires a very... Asian.. mindset to master.
As in observation + calm + dexterity.

I believe I have the reflexes in me, it's all about tuning my mechanical and muscle memory into taking advantage of those reflexes.
Indeed, there are many shooters that are significantly less forgiving than R-Type 3, and some of those I will eventually be doing in the future. I'll have to work up to them.

You are LP-ing Yoshi's Island ? nice ! One of the games I've never finished for some reason, and a testament to the processing power of the SNES. Also extremely fun and well made. IMO not the pinnacle of platforming mechanically (has some flaws IMO), but truly the best in graphics department. Overall a classic.
As a sidenote, I seem to be cursed as to never finishing certain games, I've never finished Metroid 2 for the GB (last boss fail), never finished Metroid 3 for the SNES (last boss escape sequence fail + demotivation) and Metroid Zero Mission Last Boss fail (see the pattern?).
Also Final Fantasy 6 accidental save delete before last dungeon arrargh, this one is a biggie.
