The Tempest isn't even the size of the Warp Ray, some capital ship. And the reavers look wierd.

Ya well they have the Pheonix now which can demolish any air unit literally in its wake with its special ability and the Tempest is a stronger Protoss carrier at ground attacks, it can attack air but its poorly at it, well now online people wont mass them on you, i just hope they did that with BC's too.

Yeah it is more balanced, but I hope they dont make SC2 too much different from SCBW.

SC2 isn't even going to remotely play like SC1. Not even close.

Ya have you watched the game demos not even close to the gameplay of SC original except just a few units are similar but with new abilities.

IGN sucks.  In the Age of Youtube, nobody should have to register to see anything anymore.

Hell yeah, Youtube is alot better than just pictures, videos are better of watching the StarCraft 2 action.

Yeah, we were discussing that image on SA.

It looks like either carriers got changed to attack air after all or they were just not allowed to attack BC's in that one video.

EDIT: I dont know why they have changed the Tempest as the Carrier to a weak air to air combat, is it because of the Pheonix or what not?

exactly, thats why they have made a downgraded version of it. originally the carrier could eb used to destroy anyhtign which is why it is massed up in numbers by n00bs. However, in SC2 it is too weak to do such a thing anymore. the new capital ship is the warp ray but unlike the traditional carrier it has severe weaknesses against swarmers like marines and.....hydralisks?

You can still mass Tempests, and if Yamato can 1shot them it seems unlikely that they cost more than 4 psi, which means you can mass even more. If you have a dozen while the enemy hasn't even built a Starport they're in big trouble; by the time they build a few air units their ground force will be wrecked, and since Tempests can attack air they should be able to destroy those few air units.

I realize they can still mass like n00bs on a multiplayer game, but I am just pointing out that they are alot weaker now, so a huge wraith fleet could pretty much handle a Tempest fleet by now.
