It's not that it would take a month, but rather it would take a month before I got around to it.

I have a question.
The campaign will have multiple endings that will change according to our actions?

If yes I hope to see a good ending for Nekurow (but I doubt that will happen, since he is an evil bastard and that's a thing you can't change).

He does have a 'good' ending, as much 'good' as you can for him, at least (none of which involve killing any of his nemeses, of course). It's certainly not on the same scale as one of the main characters, though.

I really like Nekurow though, perhaps a lil more than Shizuka.

So I'm also hoping something good in store for him.

Hi RCX,

will the stats of the heroes be carried over? I played the campaign through plenty of times and I would really miss my leveled stats ;)

Endings are mostly done.

Generally the main focus is on the three lead characters, but one of the secondary characters gets a sizeable chunk of it as well to close-out their story (which started in Book 5). Most of the secondary characters' story arcs get closed during the story (such as, for instance, Yue Fang having unresolved issues with Zule Whitemane), but this one could only be done at the end.

The Title system is mostly passive this time; the titles are merely determined by what ending you got.

Anyway, for placement purposes, the main groups are as follows:

The Four Swords:
- Hikaru
- Nekurow
- Six
- Zule Whitemane

The Dragon Priests:
- Shizuka
- Kurumi
- Kuth'kullen
- Yue Fang
- Scaldar

The Dragon Slayers:
- Dalles
- Metallus
- Kevin
- Nara

Sorceria:
- Darm
- Duke Shivak
- Lord Braddle
- Lady Veraft
- Prince Ingram

For the most part what's left now is the last battle.

Anyone whos' picked up the recent local DS release of 'Legacy of Ys' or the Wii Virtual Console 'Ys I & II' should note the name-dropping for both Dalles and Darm. In a sense they fulfill the same roles as they do in Ys II, but with my own flavor (in Ys II Dalles gets in your way several times, while in my campaign he's relatively 'benign').

Phase 1 done. It's probably the simplest one to balance since it's the one part of the fight where the boss isn't actually involved (although it does involve a Bullet Tunnel). The structure of the entire fight is done, but the boss doesn't do anything at the moment, so he's a glorified punching bag.

There's a really strange texture glitch that's happening (sometimes a character only shows the Red channel), and I'm not sure what's causing it or how to fix it.

With the texture glitch, does the level have fog? I've seen the renderer display color strangely when there's fog (most commonly in Countdown).

For "same roles" do you intend servant and master I believe....
What about Darm in your campaign?
In the Ys series,he is a demon lord born from the Black Pearl. (if I remember right)

The more I think about it, the more the last boss is ending up like the last boss in Book 2... except there's no revival. If you lose someone they're gone for the rest of the fight (I know this is entirely possible to do in Book 2, but it was very unlikely all the same). While testing part of the fight I found out I was focusing most of my attention trying to keep them all alive rather than hit the boss, although when I was moving some of them the rest were hitting the boss anyway. I guess this could be acceptable, if it wasn't for the fact that the boss is hitting for a huge amount of damage that it necessitated this. I figure if one of the healer Heroes died (only three of them are capable of healing) it was pretty much all over.

The other consequence is the last boss doesn't do nearly as much scripted actions as some of the other bosses as it's more of a macro battle than a micro-managed fight. On the other hand the last boss dishes out a lot of truly unavoidable damage compared to any other boss I made, so maybe it balances out. The last boss is probably the only boss where I actaully removed abilities from as opposed to disabled/replaced some boss attacks simply because they didn't work in practice; he used to cast Ebon's Ultimate as a regular attack, but that turned out to just one-shot whoever got hit by it.

Strangely enough the last boss is probably the one boss in the entire campaign where the fight is drastically different depending on the difficulty level. Of course, Hard mode is the one where I ideally like it to be, although that's still 'easy' (Easy mode is probably VERY easy, even though you can still also easily lose).

Can we expect a WoS 6 release this year, RCX? I really want to know, please tell me, or you still haven't decided yet? No seriously, this will be the best day of my life.

Everything is functinally done with the campaign. It needs some polish and testing.

I also had to remove my idea for the extra mission because for some reason it kept crashing the game. It wasn't that important, but since I removed it I probably can trim out all the files associated with it.
