Yeah- I'll vouch for that one, naturally.

Luckily, I am not computer illiterate.  But I've had a Mac and a PC, so I dunno what I would be classified as.  OH, and I have had Linux on an older iPod.

Well, I did cave in and sold my dual 8800 GTXs for a new single GX 280.  It actually performs better than the dual setup because for some reason the dual setup, while technically faster, causes a lot of latency, either because of communication with each other, or with the computer itself.  I don't think I'll go back to a dual video card setup again.  So overall I think I am prepared for SC2.

Q6600 Quad Core
Vista 64-bit (never had a problem with this ever)
Nvidia GX 280
X-Fi sound card  (gotta love the X-Fi Crystalizer)
6gb RAM.  (my computer only supports 8gb total memory, including the video card for some reason, even though I have Vista Ultimate - must be motherboard restriction)

Kinda overkill, but I spared no expense to have the best machine possible when it comes to all aspects of mapping and modding.  I don't want technical limitations to hinder my progress.

nah I got this laptop PC and a (broken) desktop PC; I am a bit curious about getting a MacBook but when it came to it I'd probably chicken out and spend the money on something else instead

I don't get this at all.  mAc Chaos isn't here and where did I say that?

Oh, and you should get a Macbook.  They are revamping the whole line come September and dropping the prices further.  Sounds pretty cool.

mAc = mac user + bi comment + (AA7[homosexual+PC] / Taer's IQ) = fag

Main machine is a 1st gen Mac Pro.
  • 2 dual core 2.66 GHz Xenon Woodcrest CPUs
  • 4 GB of ECC FB-DIMM RAM
  • GeForce 8800 GT (512 MB of VRAM on a 16x PCI-e slot), Apple EFI32 version
  • Apple Cinema Display 30" (2560 x 1600 native resolution)
  • Logitech Z-5500 sound system connected over TOS-LINK
  • Sennheiser HD 555 headphones
I have a variety of operating systems installed, including Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and Windows Vista 64-bit Ultimate.

Planning on getting a second monitor soon. I also have a MacBook Pro (latest model) laptop, which I don't regularly use, unless I'm traveling.
