I was actually hoping to cancel the bureaucrat's ability to prevent voting, but it seems shenanigans happened, and now Jim is somehow under his own spell. If i actually canceled his power, only taer could have done it.

Well this is certainly an odd turn of events.
I believe Alevice when he says shenanigans happened, possibly because I was the cause of said shenanigans. This means one of two things: either Jim targetted himself, or Taeradun jim-of-all-traded bureaucratic powers and targetted Jim. Either way, someone's lying here.

Well, all I have is two lives- the main reason of course being I am Lavarinth! I would of expected to be a Night 1 target, naturally, alas no one has perished. As for all this going on, I wouldn't be surprised if Jim Raynor targeted himself. Taeradun would not acquire Jim's powers until today, anyway, so that rules him out.

@Lavarinth: I thought the Jack-of-All-Trades was assigned a new power every night, including the first. MILLDAWG! Rules clarification, post 50762!

This really is quite odd. It does seem possible that the bureacrat may target himself to blame another no matter how unlikely that sounds. Taer getting bureacrat is also unlikely but possible. So it seems, there are only two suspects.

To clarify, i redirected thal's ability to target jim, so he could not block anyone's voting power today. considering jim is caught under his own ability, i have the suspicion that either thal didnt perform any action last night, or (assuming the rules work the way thal describes) taer did it.

RULES CLARIFICATION: The Jack of All Trades acquires a random power at the BEGINNING of each night. So, it is possible that Taeradun could have become a Bureaucrat and used that power this past night.

Alevice, if that is true, that would imply either you were working under the assumption I am a killer, hence preventing me from lynching anyone, or you are actually the killer, and you wanted to prevent lynching to keep yourself safe.
What motive did you have here?

@Alevice: To clarify, I totally blocked your powers.
@Milldawg: Thank you, good sir.
@Taeradun: Mind tellin' us what powers you did get last night, Taeradun?

The acupuncturism doesnt prevent killing last I recall:
*The killers' kill is not preventable by the acupuncturist, since it is not performed by an individual player.
Personally I thought if anyone was killed last night, I wouldnt want your power to prevent anyone for voting. Specially since I dont know any of you as players.
@Thal: FUUUUU. Also milldawg, i suppose i got blocked before i could redirect? WHat are the ability priorities here? I would presume I could have redirected thal trying to block me.

Ah, good point.
Your offered motive is a possibility.

So it appears we have hit a dead end unless Taeradun makes his role public. Taeradun, your role if you don't mind please.

Btw, do I presume either Lav or the whole group gets informed if he escaped death?

I'm inclined to agree with Alevice's reasoning for wanting to hijack my powers to block Jim. It's pretty much the same reason I blocked Alevice's powers too. Of course, Alevice's attempt to redirect my powers proves that my decsion was the correct one.
@Jim: Who did you plan on burying in paper work if your powers hadn't been redirected anyway?
@Alevice: I wish I could block night kills, that'd be totally awesome.

You also make a good point about Lavarinth.
@Lavarinth: Hey Lav! Anyone try to kill you last night?
@High_Zealot: I wouldn't say we've hit a dead end quite yet, but we do need to hear from Taeradun about his night actions.
