It would be cool if they made a Diablo-type Starcraft RPG. Diablo 3 would be nice, but it's not a WoW expansion.

Even though they are two seperate genres it wouldn't make much sense from a money point of view. There are a certain amount of mmo players, and a lot of them don't want to pay for two games at the same time, so they would effectively cut into their own market share. Sounds like bad marketing for me. WoW will run for a long long time, subscribers are still growing afterall.

They already said they would. But not a "world" because StarCraft isn't a world. They said it'd be MMO, but most likely not directly an RPG. "It would be nothing like World of WarCraft" was one of their highlights about the concept of it.

There is a new WoW expansion in the making, no one knows the details but Blizzard though.

Yeah. I seriously doubt another MMO for like, another 10 years or so. Another RTS seems unlikely, too, since they don't want to create competition for SC2. A FPS seems really unlikely, because they have no experience in it. SC:Ghost seems unlikely, unless they make it PC, because they have to do it from scratch and do it themselves after the horrific failure of all of the companies they outsourced it to, for next-gen consoles.

The possibility seems strong that it is diablo 3, and I really hope it is, but there is always the possibility they are going to do something completely different.

Oh come on guys, don't you recall months/years ago they hired almost an exact staff that they had hired for Diablo II? Mainly looking for 2D speacialists (IE: 2D sprites placed in a 3D appearing world, like Diablo) ... They even said experience in RPG games a plus.

I totally remember that, they hired a new team after the Blizzard North's collapse. That hints a new RPG or a Diablo 3 which more likely a Diablo 3.

I believe Blizzard North was just merged into Blizzard, don't recall though.
