The campaign progress is going slowly, mostly because I want it to be carefully made and with all (or at least most) bugs fixed. Terrain for mission 1 is complete, as well as all relating to aesthetics. I'm now working on the triggers and dialogues. Music tracks have been choose for this map. I've begun work on the mod as well. Portraits haven't been chosen yet.

Help is appreciated, but I want the campaign to interfere the less possible with SC lore (maybe some references are made, but nothing big). However, I'll need help for beta testing (but not many, only a few. If possible, experienced SC players) as well as triggering advicing (specially for boss battles, etc) and also grammar/spelling checking (I improved my English, but it doesn't mean it's perfect. duh :p).

I'm also considering to have my campaign voiced. Unfortunately, I don't have the necessary toggles to do it myself, so it's possible I've to ask other people (and I've to ask Meta's permission for something before do anything, too).

Cheers!

Best way to start voicing is doing it yourself.  A microphone and some editing software are about the only 'toggles' (lol) needed to record and process voice overs.  Microphones come in all shapes and prices.  If you're just gonna use it to voice Starcraft campaigns, I wouldn't spend an insane amount of money on gear.  I have two pretty decent mics, but I've been working with cheap ass hardware for years. All of the Dark Swarm sounds were recorded with a built-in-notebookmonitor microphone and they sounded OK for me.

Reason I'm saying this is most people 'just want their campaigns to be voiced' and start asking people to do it for them, but they don't realiz that it's much easier to do it yourself once you get the hang of it.

Why would you need Meta's permission to do anything?

Well, I said I'm considering it as an option. Perhaps I even don't do it. I'll say you if I'm going to voice it or not when I've the campaign pretty much finished. Also, I'd voice it myself, it's for sure. The problem there's that I don't have any microphone or recording hardware, and as for now I'm not able to buy one.

You shall see... if he gives me permission, of course. :p

Any maps you need tested? I'm here if you need me for anything.  ;)

No. Not yet. But thank you, anyways. I've started work with mission 2, though mission 1 is not entirely polished up. ;)

Yes, I'm still working on this. As I said before, I want this to be carefully made (not like some of my previous projects), so don't expect me to be very active (and don't expect a release date, either :p) on this thread. ;)

Where did you get the custom Artanis portrait that was used for the hero Zealot?

I don't remember where I got it, but I know it was made by Cynon. I believe I got it from one of his post on SAmods forums...

Anyways, it doesn't matter from where did I get the portrait, as I changed this campaign's plot... almost entirely. Since there were so many similarities between this campaign and VE, and there has been many Protoss campaigns lately, the player race will be changed to Terran. Mission 1 Script is almost done, and I'm working on the terrain now. Of course, the title will likely be changed.

The events of the campaign will be set between BW and SC II, and it'll feature the Terran Dominion as the player's faction. The plot, alongside the new title I've devised, will be kept in secret until the campaign's release.

I wasn't asking where you got it since it was used in VE.  I just wanted to know where it was so that I could possibly use it later on because I think it looks really cool.

And the reply to Legion was because I don't want Laconious to get anymore points than he's already going to get (joke).

As I said, I got it from SAmods forums, but I don't remember which thread (I believe it was a thread called 'custom portraits' or so in the SC Discussion Forum, though). You'll find it there. ;)

The portrait on the video belonged to other mod I made long ago, not to the SOTF one. I just wanted to test a few new units (that obviously don't appear on the video) and I didn't wanted to bother to made a new mod until I had finished the maps.

Since you are a leading member of the wiki, I expect some serious confirmation on your part with it in terms of lore. No unrealistic shenanigans! (jk. Do whatever you want  ;)). Remember, you always have me!  ;)
