Lol, I visited that site and everything is fine. Actually Opera + Avira never really had failed me in neutralizing this crap ever.

Lavarinth wrote: DO NOT VISIT THE SAMODS FORUM. I just attempted and was heavily infected by malware before even bypassing the Google warning.

Magic has stated it is safe to, ignore this for now.

Edit: now I'm on my G1 as my whole computer is down giving me an unusable error of a blue screen. Oh now I'm just furious at this "okay to visit" post. Time to introduce delays galore.
Well, fuck.  Better just stay away from everything at work then.

Apparently my G1 decided not to post.

This was my work computer. Exactly what happened:

Finished visiting CC, decided to see the status on SA after reading this thread. Noticed Magic's a-ok post. Proceeded to the forum, received a "danger" message, the same one as before. Clicked the bypass option as everything was a-ok, and before the page even changes or blanks out Firefox shuts down, I am informed over four different programs are attempting to install, and they cannot initiate as the computer is shutting down. Computer restarts, I am now receiving fake virus scans and alerts I am infected. I attempt to run a multitude of programs for help such as Spybot, ComboFix, etc, and none launch. Randomly the CMD and fake svchosts are being launched and closed quickly and repeatedly. I opted to restart in safe mode. No fix, they still prevented anything from launching. I redownloaded and renamed ComboFix, and it ran (probably thanks to rename). Nearly 30 minutes later, it states it's deleting the same named files that were installed. Computer restarts into safe mode, and completes disinfect. Everything in safe mode runs fine. I restart normally, computer begins to load after logging in, near completion of start up (work programs) the computer dictates it is shutting down. No alert, nothing, as if I pressed the power button, which obviously I did not. It fully shuts down, not restart. I turn the computer back on, within a second of reaching the windows loading screen, I receive the blue screen. I attempt to restart, same result. I attempt last good known configuration, same thing. Safe mode, same thing. Varied safe modes, again, same thing. Dead locked. I attempt chkdsk, chkdsk /r, no help. I am currently in the process of copying all valuable content over via externals. I'm forced to reformat.

For the more technically inclined, I received the 0X0000007E (###, ###, ###) error, which states drivers are corrupt, typically. I took down the values that it dictated as corrupt, however I soon noticed upon receiving the error again during any restart, the drivers noticed varied, they were never identical each crash. Typically, to my knowledge and research, an unfixable issue.

Lav you really asked for that one. I hope you didn't have the admin passwords for this site on that computer.

That's not going to save you from a keylogger.

At the end of the previous page I asked what browser and OS you were using, Lavarinth.  You mentioned the browser, but what version of Windows was that? (obviously was some version of Windows because of some of the things you mentioned)
