Okay, so I only know two things about this movie, now. First is, there's violence. Second is, there's guys swinging BIG BURRITOS everywhere.

What the hell is this?

It's actually one guy. But at one point he has five penises on screen.

;)

They wouldn't accept his demand for payment because the stars weren't right.

No giant squid =  :'(

The big lynx was still there though, but it felt really out of place.  :P

I've never read the comic, and I saw the movie. I thought it was awesome, except for the plot.

Seriously. No explanation no mention that it's a lynx.

Why the hell did the Minute Men have The Comedian in the group? What did he actually bring to the table?

To the story he was highly important, to the group he just seemed to do atrocious deeds and shoot people with a flamethrower, grenade launcher and shotgun.  ???
Spoiler
I guess he did save Nixon's life a few times which meant he was damn good in a fight, but still...

So, basically, only the camera views, special effects, and the faces appealed to you.

YUP.

But seriously, I liked the setting, the characters, their interactions, most of the battles...I just didn't like certain aspects of the plot...
Spoiler
...such as the bad guy killing millions of people and getting away with it (even if it was "for peace," I would rather see him get OWNED and then let them figure out on their own that his actions maybe weren't as bad as they seemed), and everything about Dr. Manhattan. Eff that guy.

Well, he probably stayed in the group out of pure tenacity.  Politically, he was the one most cooperative with the government considering the other guys in the group was a Nazi sympathizer, a lesbian, an over-the-top Marine officer, a femme fatale, a guy who died because his cape got caught in a revolving door, and the guy who was sent to a mental institution.

Finished reading the comic. Now to see the movie this weekend.

So in the movie, the Lynx is there, whose purpose is as an introductory precursor to the larger genetic engineering project, but the end result isn't? Just as with game design, you start yanking out units, you inadvertently make others obsolete.

Both the Comedian and Ozymandias are much more interesting in the comic book as well. I believe that the Director's Cut might be much cooler than the theater version: I've read somewhere that the Tales of the Black Freighter side story, which was responsible for much of the depth in the comic book, may be there.  ;D

And Dr. Manhattan is so awesome, anyone who speaks badly of him will get instantly teleported to a lab full of giant squids in Antartida.
