I probably won't play Starcraft but lol to the rest.

Okay, since it becomes more and more complex, I REALLY need to know the precise details of EACH of you (including occasional players) on the follow things :


- a) Which games you do care to play as events? ... BW? War3? Both?
- b) What are your availability to play the events? Friday 8 PM GMT-5? Saturday 8 PM GMT-5? Both? Other?
- c) How often will you honestly come to a BW event (presuming it's at your right time/day)?
- d) How often will you honestly come to a War3 event (presuming it's at your right time/day)?
- e) Any other detail that might influence the decision for your end? Specifics please.


My personal case is  :
a) War3 (not BW)
b) Friday 8 PM GMT-5 and Saturday 8 PM GMT-5.
c) Almost never for BW.
d) Fairly often for TFT
e) Can only play until 10 PM GMT-5.

Otherwise, this will become more and more painful for me to try to make the best choice as people pretty much say just a few tiny details of they like or not and I might do a choice that would displease the majority in the end.

a) BW, assuming it's melee, I don't care for ums
b) not very often due to laziness/disinterest, but friday nights chances are I'll be occupied with eating babies.
c) depends who's there, but chances are not very often
d) not any more than I do currently which is once in a while
e) not really, wc3 is dead for me, bw is dead for me, sc2 won't change anything

d) ca. >90% of the time  probably not as much if there are two days of it.
e) My schedule is random anyway. The few times I don't show up for SS are usually caused by me being too tired to stay awake.

I mainly only play BW with mods when I end up playing it. lol  There is a Mod Night that is played on my private server (running on my computer) nearly every Saturday, often ending by the time people start getting on WC3.  Regardless of that and the fact that I know when people get on for it (I can see most between-game chats if I want to), I rarely ever get on my own server to play the mods with the people on there anyway. lol

There are times when I'll send a "/announce lol" in the chat client I leave connected to my server. lol

The mods they play are generally uninteresting and most of the players are below the skill level of our players, though. And none of the players even gave me a challenge. :\ so, I don't know how fun that would be for any of us. I didn't really enjoy it anyway.

Also I know most of the people here hate juggling versions.

That bad? Thought we were the weak sauce of gaming (except a specific few) compared to about any other group heh.

Anyway ... here's my semi-final (but not 100% final yet) verdict :

Phoenix Phriday (War3 TFT)
On Fridays
Starts at 8 PM GMT -5 (one hour earlier)
Intended Max Length : 3-4 hours (instead of 6 hours due to SS)

Satyr Saturday (War3 TFT)
On Saturdays
Starts at 8 PM GMT-5 (one hour earlier)
Intended Max Length : 3-4 hours (instead of 6 hours due to PP)

And my reasons :

1) While I was open to bring Firebat Friday back, I did want a global high interest of it if I do so and quite frankly, it's somewhere from low to mid. Thus it is too likely that it either falls shortly or it becomes a simple 3-4 people event too often. In addition, I really don't feel like being present even a bit to an event that I would prefer to skip all the time.

2) Including some responses from AIM, some are bothered that SS would be only on Friday OR only on Saturday so doubled events might be a good call this time around especially if each of their lengths are reduced.

3) It is 8 bloody months that I couldn't have any constant fun in SS events since I often had to leave in mid-game of the very first one due to work so 2 hours from each of the two events would suit me better.

I might still change my mind but I consider it pretty much final unless there is something very solid to change my mind.

I miss firebat friday's. Even though I basically only showed up to the very last one before it died, it was a blast. I still play BW. Not war3 though.
