Theres nothing wrong with using DRM especially the way blizzard has which isn't intrusive at all unlike EA games have been recently that go as far as limiting how many times you can install it, remember that SC/D2/WC3 all used a variation of it.
Its a bunch of fuss over nothing.
I wouldn't really classify Warden as DRM. I have no problem with Warden, but if they start getting antsy and throwing in higher-grade DRM all it really does is
increase piracy. Blizzard's never really been vocal about Warden before so this makes me wonder what exactly they're going to do, if anything.
EA is a great example of what not to do if you value your market.

It is a bunch of fuss over nothing. It's simple another excuse to pirate games by complaining to not have it. If someone properly uninstalls the game, they can reinstall it elsewhere. No internet? Are you from the past or what? If you have to reformat, call the company and they'll do it for you. Better yet, after the game gets old, they remove the DRM incase the company no longer supports the game. Allowing more than one install per CD key, I find it to be them being lenient.
Since Starforce mangling DVD drivesĀ and other DRM programs preventing people who legally buy the games from even playing them is unobtrusive mirite?
Also the Securom stuff on Mass Effect and Spore allows a total of 3 installs, when you uninstall it doesn't free up a slot for installs. If you want more you have to contact EA and considering the horror stories I've heard about EAs customer support I'd say that's pretty fucking terrible.

Spell Obstruction: Why not just make it so you can always see yourself? There, problem solved. How? Transparent view of character, outline, maybe even a bubble around your character where spell effects do not render on your end. Unlike Starcraft, in Diablo 3 you only have yourself and any minions to worry about seeing.
Enemies could also benefit from outlines under spell effects, losing those outlines upon death. Could be an on/off option for players.
DRM: An
excellent article that sums up how useful DRM is, by one of the guys behind Sins of a Solar Empire. Quote: "People who never buy software aren't lost sales."

Yeah, I've never heard of a pirate who decides to purchase a game because the copy protection was TOO MUCH FOR HIM TO HANDLE.

Pretty hilarious when you have to use a crack to get a game running properly that you bought.

When I bought NWN2 it wouldn't even run. I had to fuck with driver-level DVD rom settings just to get it to play. Fucking retarded. That was Securom; Forged Alliance's Securom also made my computer retardedly unstable until it got patched out a data later.
Nowadays I don't really buy PC games, but I wouldn't buy a PC game regardless if it had Securom in it.
