Yeah I don't really know why this thread has been so vitriolic.

As far as I can tell I'm one of the few people that sank much time at all into d3. I did enjoy it to an extent, mostly by just not comparing it to other games. I found the gold AH amusing in the old fashioned rpg sense... See how well you can sell items and then buy better items.

Now I'm done with the game (having cleared hardcore inferno)... That the game obviously could have been better, and that it isn't the best game on the market doesn't make it bad exactly, just not the best.

I do think normal, and nightnmare as well, is so easy as to be dull. The game doesn't really start until Hell at the earliest.

I just hope the expansions are for more than additional story and classes at this rate. (Especially hoping PvP isn't held back to an expansion.)

Well, doubt Blizzard would do much to remedy the lard they're currently in. They'd have to do a VERY convincing storyline for Diablo, for starters, to convince the hard-liners back into the fold, especially here. Doubt they'd be capable of that...

The bad can only get worse. There is no recovery. They'd need entirely new staffing, and they would never do that.

Lavarinth, I have a question. Why does your defiler not appear on the list of uniques for the "A Unique Collection" achievement? Your spawn is so rare that it at least should be part of an achievement to kill you.

I find it funny that there's no one who will know those names refer to us except for us.

Kind of like how a bunch of mercs in d2 are named after friends of employees.

Diablo III runs like shit on modern technology, much in the same way that StarCraft II does. WarCraft III was the same with modern tech for its time. Blizzard's just lazy and has no real interest in game development. They have an interest in money making.

I ran Diablo III at a pretty consistant 60 fps, actually, with max settings. On a three year old computer. It could take a dive sometimes, when things got crazy, but usually not below 30. Starcraft II, you may have a point there. It ran at 60 fps for the single player and small multiplayer games, but it does have a tendency to drop to 0.3 fps when it reaches its critical mass of more than three players in a game.
