Observers: Lavarinth, Ricky_Honejasi
Arbiter: Negi
Zealots: ShadowFlare, Frozty, Taeradun, Tipereth
High Templar: Mucky
Praetor: AA7Dragoon

I don't think it was siding with Thal that led to our downfall.  Although I think he was too aggressive in the beginning and drew untowards attention, but I managed to lead everyone to Tipereth, so that was not the game losing factor.  It got turned into a bonus.  We were clinking our glasses when Mucky said he made a mistake.  But then the day dragged on... and on... and on some more, and then everyone had time to exhaust every possible option when they would have already killed Tipereth by then, and then it was over.

I now see my fatal error was assuming that everyone is competent. When Tipereth abstained, he wasn't a DT; he just didn't know what the fuck he was doing. Then again, if I assumed that everyone is incompetent and had no idea what they were doing, I'd never be able to get anywhere in my deductions.

For me, simply the fact that you voted for him.  Along with the other conditions I had mentioned, it was either those who voted to lynch Thalraxal were Dark Templar with Tipereth, or those who voted to lynch Tipereth were Dark Templar along with Thalraxal.  Well, not just the votes, but that the two people I assigned to each in my scenarios were pretty much the cause of the other being lynched.

I don't know about Taer, but I only doubted it after the vote, when everyone else was trying to trick me into thinking we lost.  Keep in mind that I was the only one in the dark there, because I was not exactly a part of either side in my 2 deduced scenarios.  I did not know with certainty of any single person's role but my own, which was already proven by deduction.  However, logically Lavarinth and Taer were on the same side, so they did know which side the other was on.

I win.

Who started the thing after the vote with saying they were the opposite role anyway?  Was it Taer?

Yes, and I played along.
