D&D: Dragonshard will likely be my next LP now. This is, AFAIK, an RTS.

Finished segment 2 a day ago. First impressions:

Game looks stupid
"Soul of a lost Undead", when spoken in Mesk's satirical narration voice, is hilarious and gets me everytime
Dear god Havok is simultaneously the most retarded and most hilarious thing to exist in modern games, I died laughing when Snape just sat there and a corpse was sticking out of his crotch/waist area
lol bridge
Voice acting definitely declined in quality
"I POKE YOU WITH MY PENIS!"

More to come later.

I have updated the LP thread in a somewhat brief manner, doing two things;

Adding/removing some things from the LP considerations list.
Added a 2013 high-priority considerations list.

Though neither of these lists are by any means exhaustive they reflect things that are on my mind to do LP-wise in the future. The 2013 list is to stem inquiries about potential considerations in the near-ish future.

I have a new release coming soon.

I'm surprised your review still isn't up.

More impressions:

Blighttown is retarded
Scatacombs are retarded
I'm retarded
I found it difficult to hear certain portions of the audio over my inane laughing
Horse-flavoured marmalade? What about marmalade-flavoured horses?
hmm

Just been too busy to polish it up. My workload is quite heavy right now. There are more important things at stake.

/edit

The unstable sectors on the E drive are back and multiplying. I must now replace it ASAP and it is no longer fit for important recording.

DS LP delightful so far, especially first encounter with Blighttown !

Of course, I actually experience pain for you when you steadfastly refuse to use map shortcuts (Blighttown/Firelink/Smith, hello ?), all in all, truly epic.

Enjoying it so far, esp. how for some areas you are grossly underleveled.

Merry <politically correct>mas. !

Yes, when I discovered that I could use that elevator back (I was always under the impression it was unreachable from the shrine back) I got mad.

Alrighty folks, 2013 is upon us and we're starting to set our eyes agaze on future projects that are not so long distant as they would seem.

I am currently working, interchangably, on 4 major things.

The first is LP's. I posted that 2013 predictions list but, like I said, take it with a bukket of salt. I've got Dragonshard just barely started on but I want to get my HD stuff sorted out and I'm kind of taking a break from casting right now.

The second is the MGEC series. I've been formulating in my head how I'll talk about blocking and defenses for Starsworn, the RPG aspects of Starsworn, how I'll recover/continue the Introduction to Audio bit, and what else I can think of. I think the 2d vs 3d argument is a good place to start (re: me bashing game developers who make 3d games "just because" aka everyone).

The third project is the biggest of anything I have ever worked on. ETA 2014.

The fourth project is a developer documentary of the third project. Oh and it will be massive. ETA 2014. This is an ongoing thing and while I expect its audience to be super niche, it might be interesting to some. I may release a portion of this before the project is finished. I thought I'd have a lot of videos done in December. I was wrong. Now I'm pushing it way, way back.

My minor upcoming projects/releases include the major Coffee Hour that will talk about my history, my starcraft experiences, dealing with disabilities, and other boring stuff. I estimate it'll be around 1-2 hours. I expected to have it finished, and I have most of it finished, but I want to polish it more.

I'll be sure to tune in throughout 2013, and the years that follow, to hear what you have to say. Are you willing to say whether or not the third project will be a playable product?

I do not intend to release a playable product of any nature in any foreseeable future.

Since sc2 is out of the question, I would need to learn the UDK to work on a game/playable project. But that is where this path eventually leads. Maybe in the long distant future.

Progress can't happen in America unless Professor Snape is involved, anyways, so it's a good thing you're in Canada.

Feel free to shoot some stuff my way prior to release, like you would a pre-release LP or something of that nature. I don't mind doing what I can to help out.

New drive is in, blackmagic drive test reports 150 meg/sec speeds for both read and write. Pretty solid. Hopefully I don't run into any file table issues.

Windows says there's no drives when it starts because I unhooked that IDE lol

Time to run recording tests on the drive. Hmmm.
