That's better.
Except 90% of people eating chocolate Skittles makes it popular, not regular.

According to a swedish interview with browder and some other guy (prob chris) they said they were doing the music I believe, which is a good sign since that generaly is done towards the end of alpha cycles/beginning of beta.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't know if that was a joke or not, but I consider my writing to be the anti-thesis of fancy.Sodon wrote:Words don't change meanings just because you put them in fancy sentencesMucky wrote: Except 90% of people eating chocolate Skittles makes it popular, not regular.![]()

It's obviously hypothetical. In reality nobody likes chocolate Skittles because they're the bastard child of M&M's and regular Skittles, and I don't know how the fuck "vanilla" made it into a mix of chocolate flavors.Negi wrote:Could you cite that statistic?Mucky wrote: 90% of people eating chocolate Skittles makes it popular, not regular.

How the hell did the SCII thread devolve into a discussion on skittles and whores?

In case you somehow didn't see the leak, the official version (including a non-blurry HD) is on the Bluzzard site.

Re: StarCraft II Official! (Pictures)
With the NDA lifted some new info although nothing terribly exciting was released.
As a quick summary,
- Beta is virtually ready but their infrastructure for testers (ie battle.net) is not.
- Replays have rewind.
- Zerg graphics finished their revision, units included
- Balance is horrible atm
Video -
[HD] StarCraft 2 Gameplay - 6/22/09
Quick thoughts;
Units look horrible when they just vanish after dying. Especially ultralisks that just sink into the ground aka warcraft 3.
Pheonixes and Stalkers finally have hit effects, something they've lacked since sc2's announcement.
Vortex is just as ridiculous as ever.
Units like to flail like crazy if they can't reach their target.
The game seems really hard countery right now. Especially the warp rays vs flying tentacle monsters.
What kind of worries me is how Blizzard is removing LAN from all of their games and forcing people to use battle.net. It isn't a problem for most people but it means they want to have total control over professional gaming and they'll do anything to get it, even if it means screwing over LAN players and stuff like that.

@ 2:20 - 3:30 I wonder if the new siege tank is going to make dealing with cheese like that harder than in BW. Given that it costs more minerals/gas/supply, the timing is no doubt going to be later. Something as small as that can have a huge impact on the way TvP is going to play out in SC2.

What reason do you suppose they have -- asides from being 'control freakish' with their games -- that they would go to such lengths to remove LAN from their games? Cause personally, I don't see the point of removing it.What kind of worries me is how Blizzard is removing LAN from all of their games and forcing people to use battle.net. Graphics are looking stunning, especially the new slimy Zerg buildings.
I like the sound effects. Ahhh, love the sound the Protoss Cannon makes as it attacks. Tech trees look great, too.
Mothership and hellions are looking pretty fun to use, and Ultralisk headbutt on buildings is cool. In my opinion, the havok physics is such a wonderful addition to this game, its stunning. Amazing tilesets. The art team really needs to be recognized for their amazing work on this front.
Corruptors are unimpressive, however, and it's odd how Brood Lords morph from them. I can see the Immortal as an instant hard counter to tanks being a problem. For balance, might I suggest that their shields to not regenerate... making their delicate usage risky? Not really fond of the new Spine Crawler attack. Looks hokey. Part of me wishes it remained as it was in SC1, and we all just ignored fishy things like it attacking over gaps and water.
