I've tried it but it's not nearly as effective as sc1. Hit and run in general is much tougher to do. The reason you can't with hellions is because they have an intentional delay before they fire - it's not animation-related, it's a purposeful delay Blizzard put there.
That's kind of sad. If Vikings had move attack it would actually be 100% more fun to use than goliath.

=X blizzard seems to take out all the fun units that had risk vs reward like lurkers and nerf the ones that also were like that such as tanks dts. In exchange we get PLUS TEN BONUS DAMAGE, which is basically a hard counter just for existing.

Yeah. Zerg are honestly very boring to play without the lurker. Roach is a totally uninspired and uninteresting unit. Hydras are basically dragoons but twice as strong. Mutas don't respond very well at all. Colossus is a boring unit and stupidly OP, nothing to it, unlike the reaver.

My interest in sc2 melee is rapidly declining and I'm finding myself tending more to my 3d modeling then playing or reading about it now.

How come Hydras are like dragoons? I thought 1 hydra can't even beat 1 roach and it's a T2 unit.

Not a roach, no, but Hydras are dragoons in the sense that they are effective against almost anything. But the difference is they are more effective. Roaches can kill hydras, but roaches are armored and die instantly to immortals (see my game vs Clish and others). Hydras, on the other hand, only fear tanks and colossi. Everything else is fair game. They attack so fast and do so much damage (which by the way is not explosive anymore aka it doesn't have a bonus damage it just does a straight 12+1) that they will kill anything in the game extremely quickly.

This is a test of the dreamhost streaming capabilities with a big video. Lemme know how it works out for you.

For me the quality is ass and the sound is mangled.

Ever since the patches I haven't had much good things to say about Vikings. They blow up pretty darn fast, though-- they're ridiculously easy to counter and can't harass nearly as well as Mutalisks can. Their air rockets do jack all because they pop faster than Mutalisks, too.

But I heard 2 vikings unupgraded can beat a 8 interceptor carrier unupgraded.

Video production is going to slow down notably as I am rapidly losing interest in the game.

Hey Mesk, I just wanted to formally thank you for your coverage of the SC 2 beta.  I have been watching all of your videos religiously and appreciate how you've spent a lot of them going up the tech tree for all three races.  I feel I've seen most of the units in some great action, and especially enjoy your commentary.  You have a great voice and it always makes me smile when I hear it. :)
I have seen the Desler.  I have tasted of his milk and honey.

Looks like you did.

I would love to watch all your vids but if you read in some other thread I have limited bandwidth and speed that would make poor baby jesus cry.

Edit: Wow I started an acc on there and forgot I had it and when I followed that link it logged me on with a virus notification from a banned member, heh.

I have developed a newfound hatred for Sentries. Not because their spells don't need research, which is stupid enough, but because they do stupid amounts of damage for being a caster without needing research.

And the fact you can teleport them into someone's base.

With zealots.
