You need to move your workers because they're not doing anything. It's a crappy mechanic and I do expect it to change again soon.
They mine minerals in the downtime automatically.

So why the fuck would they fuck with the gas system like this if the entire point behind it (to increase macro difficulty to compensate for MBS) is completely removed by even MORE automation? And why would everyone else who has played said you have to manually move them? Why did browder HIMSELF say you have to move them?

Whats this mean for custom campaigns? Do we have to buy all three games before we have all tilesets, doodads and units for use in the editor?

On the contrary, you will have everything. If anything, unseen content that is seen on the next campaigns will be available in the editor at that time.

If thats true then this may not be so bad because I thought that ment, people like desler and the oracle would have to make terran based campaigns only till the next games came out. So if what you said is true then we can make campaigns using everything from every game.

Because it's such a substantial video I feel like it deserves its own thread, they talk about replays, rewinding (and actually discuss the save-point feature we've discussed a lot on here) and some BNet features, among many other things.
Chris Sigaty and Samwise Didier answering questions for about 35 min or so. I'll rewatch it and make some bullet points I think, hopefully I misheard what they said about the beta not being before 2009 ;(
CHRISTMAS BETA PLZ!
* No replay rewinding, experimenting with save-points that you can jump between.
* Will have multicore and 64bit support (32 bit engine but compatible)
* Looking into the possiblity of exporting replays into video content.
* Deliberate attempts have been made to allow for DotA (and other custom game types) to move onto SC2, along with the option of ladder/AMM support should a specific game type become popular.
* Part of the editor might be in the beta.
* New units will be added in each expansion for multiplayer.
* Will have tutorials for the various races apart from the campaign.
* Editor will allow you to edit things directly via scripting (uh sorry if this is phrased poorly, I don't know much about this stuff)
* Intergrated WaaaghTV is being considered for Battle.net
* AMM will try to match players up with players close to you in location (if I understood what they said correctly).
* Gamespeed in the Blizzcon build was one step below fastest.
* Beta will initially be closed, with servers located in the US. Select participants will be invited from China/Korea/Europe etc.
* Beta will NOT be in 2008. Blizzard just recently got the whole company playing SC2.
* There will probably be at least 1 year between the release of the game/expansions, and most likely more.
Map editor included in the beta would be really really sweet.

Interview with Chirs Sigaty. A very interesting fact is the confirmation that the Protoss campaign will be based on diplomacy among the multiple factions of Protoss. This sounds very interesting and I don't think I'm the only who's willing to feature something similar in a SC2 campaign.

Well I for one have ultimate faith in Blizzard that this all is an awesome change. Period.
Love it.

I certainly hope that with the year estimate for the other campaigns, it would mean that StarCraft 2 is less than a year away from release. Fall 2009 perhaps? Sounds reasonable.

Saw the first one yesterday, haven't seen the second one.
Oh good grief, it's the same AI programmer. Not hopeful about softcoded AI anymore.

At the lore panel, someone asked about Protoss clans. They said they've lost contact with the originating clan of Protoss from Aiur, and chances are they wont be communicating with the Protoss who have met with the Dark Templar, as they cannot reach each other.
