ff14 wouldn't have been too bad if it wasn't for a few critical things imo. The worst was the combat latency. That was just insane and unplayable. Otherwise it was fairly ok to start off with (better than WoW was for sure).

It's going forwards, the events leading up to it are already playing out in the game. 2.0 is a redesign, like cataclysm but way more. It's already quite a bit different than it was at launch. I personally look at ToR as much more of a failure.

From my understand the reboot is actually incredibly better. I might even be tempted to play it myself, but I say that about every MMO.

Also, lol@ToR going F2P with suspected subscriber count between 500,000 to 999,999. (Well under the recently announced 9m from WoW). Bittersweet: Star Wars: Galaxies may of never reached 1 million AT ALL, but in 8 years it never went F2P.

FF14 was released broken and incomplete. If Square was a bakery, you'd have been buying frosted batter. If they were a building contractor, the home you were invited to live in would have been missing the roof, with shoddy eletrical wiring liable to catch the whole place on fire and a plumping system that dumps into your front lawn. They might have solved a lot of their problems in the years since release (2010), but any early customers still have the aftertaste of flour on their tongues and a lawn full of shit.

Says who?

:3

My girlfriend played 14, and so did majority of her linkshell (guild), and now they're back to 11, but anxiously awaiting the rerelease of 14 to go back to it.

I'd say it's more like a burnt batch of bread from a famous bakery you know would do what it can to remedy the situation.

Funny, never had any taste for FF. It all seemed too contrived and too poorly-executed.

Final Fantasy is a series created by vastly different people in regards to directors, producers, composers, etc, their only similarities are being RPGs (or two MMOs) and their names, alongside some overlapping in staff.

I've tried to get into most of the games throughout the years. None ended up appealing to me.

Might be a matter of taste, I look forward to them, but then again I enjoy RPGs the most over any genre.

Oddly enough, my gripe with FF is that it's just too recycled. The execution is always really well done but they just keep recycling the same world elements over and over and over.

ToR should have been released right around this time, it's painfully obvious EA fucked it up to rush it out for the holidays. Yes I mad.

It's true, I can't disagree with you there.

Dudes, obvious that once a newb, like me, finds out EVERYTHING is business, he stops being surprised. Even games.

Darksiders 2, the sequel to the decidedly average Darksiders, is storming the PC market with advanced graphics and high-quality user interface advancements never before seen before. I have for you a sneak peak at THQ's ticket back into the industry.
