Cool, though keep in mind most reputation systems run a high risk of nepotistic abuse. I've thought over this problem before, and have an idea on how such abuse can be avoided entirely, but would, unfortunately, involve a heavy amount of coding. =o\

I kind of like the transparency of the system, where you can see who gave you what. It may encourage responsible usage, and allows abuses to be tracked down (theoretically).
Oh, on a side note, the cookies trail "Main Site < Board index < General Forums < General Discussion" has the first < next to Main Site hyperlinked. I don't think this is intentional, as none of the other < are links.

I'll probably only allow negative votes after the user voting negatively has acquired X amount of positives. Hah.

I'm not gonna read all these pages and I'm sure someone has already mentioned this, but these smilies are horrible in terms of not being distinct. They all look the same washed out blurry mess ?#@! What's wrong with the standard "boring" yellow ones? That's my only complaint

Trivial, but significant!
K, probably bumped some old thread.. sorry.
Forum looks great tho. I probably need to modify my own boards to a set width as well now that ppl have such HUGE screen resolutions. Any idea what the typical CC.org member's screen resolution is? Ever take a poll? And curious what CC.org's width (forum) is set to? Or is it more complicated than that?

baja, yes the smileys never turned out how I was hoping they would.
This thread has been here for discussion for a long time, so it wasn't bumped. As for the screen resolutions, I can assume with todays technology they range around 1920 if they have a widescreen, but CC is no where near that width. I designed the board (and upcoming site) around a fixed with of 960 pixels thanks to the recommendation of many of having been informed it's the "universal standard" for most sites. You can read more about it here:
http://960.gs/
Hopefully this was helpful.

Hey, random bump, there's an issue with PM sending it seems. When you hit 'preview' the background and text area for the preview is completely white.

Interesting. I'll look into it.

Spoiler text has been added using the [ spoiler ]TEXTHERE[ /spoiler ] (no spaces) tag. I was under the impression this existed already.
TEXTHERE
Still investigating whiteness in layout.
EDIT: There is also a hidden option to replace the "spoiler" text with your own text using =, example below:
[ spoiler=TEXT ]TEXTHERE[ /spoiler ]
TEXTHERE

A new forum has been introduced to filter the General Discussion into more appropriate topics. All redirect links will be removed in due time.
All your reckless bashing, trolling, crying, whining, and banters can now go to Intemperate Discussion at the bottom of the forum list.
