I had a super awesome laptop but it died not a week ago. So I went back to my old Vaio desktop from 2001. It's the same machine I did all my SC/WC3 modding on, the only thing changed is it has an additional harddrive, otherwise the same machine. Nostalgia ftw.

So the vaio:
1.6 GHz Pentium 4
512 MB Ram
Nvidia Riva TNT2 64 mb
2x 80 GB HD

This machine owned face 7 years ago.

That's right aa7 has a 15 inch one...  :o

I just upgraded all my shit last week, so my computer is now sweet

CPU:  Intel E8500
Mobo:  Asus Rampage (x48 Chipset)
Memory: 4gb OCZ Platinum DDR2
Graphics:  ATi Radeon HD 4870  (As good as nVidia's $600 gpu but for half the price)
OS:  Vista with mad shit turned off
PSU: Antec TruePower II 1000W

I also have a sticker on the case that says "Fuck Integrated Graphics"

The coolest thing about my computer is the fact that the mobo has an internal on/off and reset button.  The buttons are for system builders who can't bother to plug the actual power switch in.

The coolest thin

ATI HD 2900 XT
2gb PC8500 Corsair
Athlon X2 6000+
Asus Xonar D2
1tb Samsung, I forget the speed on this but it was faster than raptors
750gb seagate I *think*
120gb Maxtor iirc
24" Samsung Syncmaster 245T

I think my CPU is bottlenecking me but I'm not going to invest in a new system just to fix that quite yet.

Aside from getting my fucking desktop fixed, buying a huge new harddrive for it, and whatever other upgrades I'll need to run SC2, another tech purchase I'm thinking of making in the medium term is possibly getting a Macbook to see what that's like...  ;)

My PC has...

AMD Athlon X2 4400+ Dual core processor
Shitty motherboard
2.5 gigs of RAM
Radeon X800GT 256mb  (AGP, so possibility of upgrading)
120gb Westgate, 180gb Maxtor
2 DVD-RW drives (only one works most of the time)
Ultra 600W PSU
17in LCD monitor and a 17in CRT monitor.

Unfortunately, in order to upgrade anything, I would have to buy a whole new motherboard.  And then I would have to get a new proc, new memory, and a new video card... Totally not worth upgrading.  Considering just buying a new computer all together.

I am definitely getting a 17in MacBook Pro for my Graduation Present, though, since I already have a vehicle.

2 desktops and a fast laptop for work.

One laptop is the old shit. The other is quite ok shit. It pleased me by playing Devil May Cry 4 flawlessly, which I wasn't expecting. I don't know the specs. :P

Oh, I guess I should answer.

My home computer currently has some of the following:

AMD Athlon X2 5300+ Dual Core
An asus motherboard that you wouldn't care about other than brand.
4 gigs of RAM (currently on XP so maxed at 3)
500 GB Hard drive
Nvidia 8800 GTX
1000 Watt power supply
24 inch widescreen LCD

.. Basically [almost] overpowered.

I couldn't think of how to fill up 1 TB, 4.2 is ridiculous.

It's only impossible to tell the specs on any mac anyway.
