When I used to play melee LT and maps like that I remember downloading replays to study, opening them in BWChart and comparing apms. Some pro players are hitting 350 APM, I always leveled around 130-150.

You realise a lot of the time APM means nothing at all right?

I remember watching a 5 minutes TvZ game where both players had 200+ APM. What requires 200 APM in a Zergling rush game? Do you really have to click 20 times in your command center to build an SCV? 

My APM in my prime was around 130 as well, I haven't really followed the pro scene (and barely played SC at all) for a few years now. 

LOL, My APM is probably like 5.  I was the kind of player who would watch battles and units move around just cause I could.

You probably still out-APM me.

Wibod was right APM doesn't mean everything but it just shows how crazy these some players are over this game.

Yeah. I already know that SC is a great game, but... I think they are exaggerating...

What about when a Zerg Hive has 3 larvae, but you press S then D (S to select all larvae and D to build 3 drones) - you only pressed two things, but does it count as 3?

I know in WC3 "APM" is any sort of click what-so-ever, so I believe someone could right-click the screen 100 times and select the same unit dozens of times and chealy raise their score.

It's count as three. Select Hive, S, D.

No, no select hive.  Lets say the hive was already selected.  Damnit, I was going to type that, but then I figured, 'nah, thats unneccessary'.  Now I know I was wrong.  The hive has already been selected and counted.  S, then D to build 3 drones. APM DAMNIT!

Lav is right any clicking counts as APM so selecting the Hive would count as 1, larva 1, etc. Alot of the APM comes from queuing and hotkeys, alot of people set rally points on their mineral patches too.

It's two if the hive is selected yes.

Des- Are you contemplating whether it'd be two or six since it's three larvae being built?
