I'm going to have to go with Taer on this one. LotC ties in with the storyline, it just splits at one point as an alternate universe. But Blizzard, to my knowledge, has not ever shed it's wing over it acknowledging its existence. You have PC Gamer showing it on their magazine, but I still wouldn't label it "semi-official" ... My thoughts.

Blizzard would never acknowledge LotC because imo it was just as good or even better than their campaigns, not to mention a lot more creative.

hope you at least noticed i never used the term 'official', only semi-official and consider that the two maps i put forth (Mengsk Assassination, Operation Turncoat) are almost one-to-one copies of stories told in OFFICIAL-OR-AT-LEAST-BLIZZARD-APPROVED-STARCRAFT-NOVELS (and thats where my semi-official term came from)

i dont intend to rate the quality of a campaign by calling it semi-official, the term just implifies that its not a Blizzard campaign, but tries not to contradict official blizzard plot development, which f.e. LOTC does (in a magnificient way, but thats another story; bows deeply before The Oracle and hopes for His Almighty Wrath to come over The Galaxy Of Fire)

If someone creates a project off novels, I'd consider it a waste of talent for not being able to produce something original. Myself and partner in crime are currently producing a project that takes aspects of those novels and impliments certain results of those events in the novels into our storyline. I would not call my project semi-official due to this. Official, semi-official, etc. It's a fan-made project with less recognition than projects like LotC, because God knows I never heard of them until this thread and the previous thread and I scoured the web for "top projects" looking for people to recruit in.

The legendary campaign The Antioch Chronicles comes to mind. It is deeply related to the Blizzard events :)

Yes. In his site it says that Auspex has indeed expressed interest in creating a new Antioch adventure for StarCraft II.

Yeah. It's not Antioch part 3... but at least we're getting something new after 10 years. :D

Is there any specific reason my account there hasn't been approved after attempting to register and waiting for like four months?

Damn, I'd wish he'd make part 3.

As long as he makes something I'll play it, too bad it couldn't be part 3 though.

Yeah, the last part of The Antioch Chronicles was the most promising of the three episodes...
