Medivh's trailer came out and they basically said at the end "Gul'dan is coming soon"

New things shown today in an "in development" video
[bbvideo=560,315]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yU2WGor6p_0[/bbvideo]
Basically, next hero is another spellcaster, gul'dan, who looks like he is wearing bathrobes without his pants on and he is without his staff. Don't really know enough about him though to form an opinion on how he may be played.
Auriel was first officially announced with this video, and she is supposed to be a support, which is great because there is only 1 diablo support, and there hasn't been a new support since October of last year. but, there is rumors that she will have a full-on resurrection ability, not like the monks ult or rehgars.
After this, we see a...pretty shitty skin for johanna, a volleyball skin for li-ming that looks even worse, and a recolored cyberwold, 2 reskinned horses, and the 2 reskinned battle beasts that are rewards for being a high enough rank.
Auriel looks neat
Also, there is this 4channer who has leaked a ton of shit forever ago, and so far these leaks have all been true, so I looked up the post, and there is a sc2 map being worked on (either they scrapped the idea or are waiting for a burst of sc2 heroes to add it) and a new hero type. here is a link to that post, if you want to look at it yourself-

Early on, I had assumed they had no intention of making Gul'dan a HotS hero, since they gave Azmodan a Gul'dan costume. I can only assume that Gul'dan will have an Azmodan costume in return.

So gul'dan is supposed to be a sustained damage mage, with no mana regen, instead needing to use his trait to exchange hp for mana. I kinda expect a talent that will allow him to drain both mana and health on his w
But, even though he will probably be bad like the last 2 heroes at first, he actualy counters dampen magic, magic shield, etc, and his first ult seems amazing for teamfights, whereas the other one seems....what.

Two identical linetrace spells like so many other heroes... yawn. The fear has a huge amount of potential, though. All those dive comps we have problems with...?

I kinda like that they're trying to replicate the WoW PvP warlock experience with Gul'dan in Heroes, but mostly I end up being disappointed in him for not taking the Siphon Life talent.

I tried in him in try mode on the ptr, and he seems like a hero that is flexible and strong if played correctly. They really pumped him full of different choices for sustain and how you deal damage. He can have multiple builds depending on the map.
2 talents that stand out to me are the ones that are "Increase repspawn timer by 15 seconds, but gain 25% more hp (makes his health pool around 4~5k at level 20) and increase ability power by 15%, but decrease healing from allies by 35% (that number may be wrong)
Then that one level 20 talent. Demonic circle. Place a circle on the map and reactivate to instantly teleport there. seems great for escaping, or for maps like dong knight to deny the dk or to go to a shrine they aren't at. Also his fear can get a vulnerability at level 20. His other heroic seems like it would also be great, but only on maps with confined fighting like punishers. but yeah his builds are going to heavily be map- and comp- dependent
blizzard actualy may have made one of the most balanced heroes in the game talent-wise (excluding his level 20s)

"sustained damage"
"ranged assassin"
I thought the whole point of specialist was sustained damage vs. assassin's burst damage?

He does sound a bit more like a specialist but most assassins are sustained damage really (AA false dad, valla, thrall, raynor, abathur)

Ok, I think I neglected to make a post here about gul'dan when he came out, so here is the next hero coming in a week.

She seems like she would be strong, but idk. To me, her healing doesn't seem to be that great compared to most other supports, and ressurection seems great, but the cast time + probably long cd seems like it would be something you would use after a fight. Her other ult seems like it would be better if the other team has divers/enough cc. The level 20 for rez looks silly though.
Since this was the last hero that was announced, we will probably get news about what will come next a week after her release (2 weeks from now). There have been rumors of a starcraft update that comes with a new map (like the diablo one from last year) and a few sc heroes, but nothing is for sure.

I find that all of the archangels are kinda bland. I think it would have been more interesting to get another one of the Prime or Lesser Evils into the mix instead. Or maybe Zul'jin?
