Because I really don't give a damn about Sonic being in Smash Bros.  In fact, it's kinda disappointing.  Because as far as trademark characters go, I always thought Sonic the Hedgehog was a pretty retarded one.

Dude, sonic was bad ass, he ran around and SPUN IN A FREAKING BALL, how more awesome can you get? Its like Samus, if she was a hedgehog. And blue. And couldn't actually do anything but run really fast and turn into a ball....

Yeah, that game doesn't look real at all. Face it, just stop trying to convince otherwise.. I'm almost 22, I saw Sonic live his life from Day 1. I was there with my dad the first day the Genesis released. I'd know if it was on a Nintendo since I don't recall a single other console system I've yet to own that was released in the US having Sonic as a title before Sega stopped being a competitor. And I've owned them all. (Minus VB, ugh)
