Here's an in-editor screen of the map I'm working on. Still working on terraining at the moment, which is surprisingly very time-consuming. Some of the ground props, such as the road border thingies, are a real pain to work with.

Of course, since it's my first *real* SC2 map ever, any feedback from the CC veterans would be more than welcome.

Why is that ramp there? It's hurting the "natural" effect the cliffs have at the moment.

It's not a ramp, actually, but some unsmoothed raised terrain. I think I've spent too much time overpolishing the southwest area to the detriment of the rest. Will work on that.

Also, and with Chriso's permission, do you think it would help if I post the WIP map (terrain only, still no triggers)? I understand that you may not be able to say much with just screenshots.

A lot can be said through screenshots, considering if one was to browse the map in a 3D view, no matter what angles we look through the camera, those aren't the angles that players will experience. Thus why I'd recommend screenshots in traditional game view or zoomed out game view.

It's an okay start, has a long way to go but a solid foundations. Just remember to take advantage of sc2's very high doodad max and geometry instancing - lots of doodads, lots of detail.

Silly Lavarinth, that can't be a ramp. If it was, it would be a WHOLE THIRD CLIFF LAYER. Which is not acceptable.

A bit of a late reply but for having your campaign unpublished (thus being able to use all the space you want, avoiding censoring lameness, etc.) while being to link your maps, I already wrote it there : viewtopic.php?f=76&t=3288

Well, it looks like the project's on hold for now, as Chriso seems to have other plans in mind. Oh well...
