No there isn't, because orders don't have to be official when you play the game at that level of business. Even Blizzard never just flat out says they failed at something when they did (Bnet 2.0 if your memory can't go back over a year) let alone Kotick.
Bullshit still smells of bullshit and I don't like that. I imagine he'll exaggerate the success of his company, like any businessman (arguably), but I'd really like to know what he's basing his statement on exactly.

Either way, he's a man who said he wants to take all of the fun out of developing games., so I take everything he says with a pinch of salt and a dose of scepticism.

And why are you singling me out when Mesk posted to similar effect?  :P
No he doesn't, the two companies operate independently of each other, they just share the same corporate umbrella.
I was answering this, that's all. Official public stance is two companies independently operated with one reporting to the other at the bottom line. That's bullshit to begin with, because someone with a face like Kotick's cannot possibly have that much trust. If you read any of his stories about how he was helped by the older generation of millionaire and billionaires, it's pretty obvious the underlying hint was that he got into the circle jerk made of money. I would do the exact same thing he does were I in his position, it's strategically smart. I would however come up with far smarter ideas because I did not have to waste over half my life thinking about mundane crap that got him to that point; which is why I'm not in a state where I can claim to take his position. The basics are still more important part of anything even right up to the executive level in current society unfortunately.

You also don't have to understand the second half of that.

As for taking the fun out of developing video games it's just business talk. I've been to meetings at upper management level and it's roughly the same, with the only exception being we don't get press releases so our names get !@#$ed. It's corporate culture honestly and that's the one point where I feel he is half defendable. Because the other half I am fully aware he is a greedy son of a bitch, and that's normal for a person in his position. Entrepreneurs of today are like economic conquerers of warring periods. Very rarely does someone stay successful by playing passive, and furthermore the current rules of the market and society encourage this even more. With war at least you have casualties to consider.

Because he's Mesk and you're Magic. I would go deeper but it would involve praising and poking fun at the both of you in various ways capable of it's own thread. But honestly, just the IMAGE alone of each of you should be a just reason given how old school most people here are.
You can't defy the speed of light, unfortunately. (Or CAN YOU?!)
I'm working on it. And those who could clearly aren't sharing it for something so mundane.
150-200 ms ... BEARABLE? Um, no.

And this isn't your regular latency this is latency on your INPUT as well. It is even worse than what you experience right now.
Is it as bad as when I was playing WoW arena with a touchpad and 6 digit ping where the bar was so dark it may as well have been black instead of red while Arcan stomped me with his overpowered warrior? Cause I still use shaw lite.

Yeah, if you have used remote desktop for working with a server thats like hundreds of miles afar from you, latency is quite of a huge deal. And I am not being sarcastic. I truly hate latency too.

That story sounded pretty dramatic Mesk.  Segregation is also a big part of Activisions evil.  I hear they make men and women use different bathrooms.  Equal rights, pssh, they don't believe.
